HJC i10 Helmet Review

I received my i10 last night and took it for a test drive. I bought it specifically because i live in Florida and it's hot (98). It is very light, comfy and the vents are unbelievable! It felt like it had ac. It was a perfect fit and yes true to size and snug. I absolutely love this helmet.

I have a black i10 with the 10b Bluetooth system and I have to say on my 1100 shadow it's absolutely amazing and quiet!

I have the white in an xl. I find it quite comfortable even with my sunglasses on. And with the snell 2020 rating at this price point is rare.

I bought one in high vis green, it took a while for the cheek pads to conform to my face and in the meantime it was hard to take on and off and was uncomfortable, now that its broken in I like it, it was a great buy for $150.

Does the snaps stay attached when removing helmet? I've heard issues where the snap would snap off when taking the helmet off..

New i10, red & black. I've been enjoying it. It's somewhat "heavy " but I guess I need to build up my neck muscles. It's super secure & comfortable. My first ever moto helmet & I'm pleased, especially with the price tag of 175. The air vents are nice and do provide a really nice flow, I have no problem wearing this thing for long periods of time. I have a full field of view.

I do. There is a bit of a gap between the top pads and the cheek pads. Works fine.

I measure exactly a medium at 57cm and hjc and scorpion the right back of my head digs into the liner and feels like someone is pressing in on my head so have to go to a large which feels good but I’m afraid gonna feel loose over time ?

Does it come with covers for speaker cutouts for when you don't want a comms system?

This helmet does not, the cutouts are just slight depressions in the cheek pads by the ears, not a piece that typically requires filling when a comm system is not used. -Zack

Yes, all helmets have wind noise on the highway but ear plugs will help reduce that and allow you to concentrate on noise from traffic to stay safe.

Bought 5 as a need one for the laddieees! And 4 for what time of the year or gear I am wearing. Sena did a great job with there system and I love the helmet. My forhead is a little more oval, but with a little adjustment, it works great. Love the helmet

I would suggest the HJC i10 in this price point, as it is Snell certified, not much heavier over the K1, and overall a great bang for the buck. The K1 is a more stylish helmet, to be frank, but I think riding daily with the HJC would be more enjoyable. I hope that helps! -Zack

The Packtalk Bold is a universal comm unit, so it will work with all full face helmets on the market. Might require some thinking when connecting it up, but you should be good to go.

The 3xl size isn't snell rated. Do you know why?

HJC does that with a few of their helmet models usually because they don't sell enough of the 3XL shell to justify SNELL certification as each shell has to be tested and paid for. Might be a better question to HJC directly as to why or if they should do it moving forward though. We've always seen it as a negative in our opinions.

The sizing of the hjc i10 is bigger than the cl17 a 4xl cl17 is close to 3xl of an i10

@@Anthomra It turns out that the i10 does in fact come in 4 & 5XL in the matte black colour. I just got a 4XL and it fits great.
