Hi i have both, bought the 11 after using the 70 for months, ive had to go up one size as they are smaller than other makes i own. To be fair for what you pay for higher end helmets ,they are not that much better,as i ride daily the linings take beating ,on and off and the hjc is standing up to the daily hikes,i also have a st model and that is good to.The ventilation on the 70 is brilliant actually works well, taken the pinlock out as the seal went on bottom ,its still not that bad when its raining which is a 1+ in my books. The rpha 11,your right about the edges but i can live with that as cant see once on head. Seen a lot of reviews before i bought these as in past bought some really expensive helmets and had a lot of gripes,no names mentioned, touch wood no issues with either of these ,but 2 years time things no doubt will show up. For now brilliant, actually a quiet helmet at legal limits on a naked bike. Also wear a x-lite 903 which is great to. Think the rapha has the edge, time will tell. Nice comparison thanks .

Thanks for your comment. I did find the 70 a little tighter, it took a long time for the padding to ease off on the 70. I agree about more expensive helmets not really much better than these HJC RPHA helmets. I had a Shoei GT Air when it first came out and feel like the RPHA 70 & 11 are better for ventilation, similar for noise but are obviously a lot cheaper. Stick an Arai logo on the front of your RPHA and it doubles in price!

thanks for the cool video. proper review. I have a little question regarding HJC: Any idea why my RPHA 70 visor is cracking near the clip every time i go above 120-130 km/h for 30-50 min? cheers

I have not experience that issue so unsure what the issue is.

which is quieter?

I found the 11 to be quieter. It might be better aerodynamically so at speed it's less noisy but both helmets do well for noise ratings.

i really don't think the 11 is that quiet, compared to most helmets ive owned, but then i just wear ear plugs 🤔

I have been looking at the same RPHA 70 for a week now and tried on a size xs from a friend of mine. It fists me quite snug. I am 55cm size intermediate oval so maybe i should go with size s. I think compared with my Nexx sx100 the ventilation and fitment is much better on the 70 and a lot quieter . I feel like all the noise comes prom the bottom , from my neck as my Nexx whistles somewhere up on the shell or visor. Btw found the same HJC RPHA 70 Terika for 252 euros new and think i'm gona go with size s.

The padding in my 70 took a long time to soften up, when I take it off it will leave lines in my head but it doesn't hurt at all. 252 euros sounds like a good deal, I got mine for £200 GBP which equal to 230 euros and I'm happy with it.

so you all agree RPFA 11 is quieter ??

It was quieter on when I used it on a GSXS1000. Also on a 790 Duke I felt the 11 was quieter.

It's pronounced "Arfa" , not raffa...The 70 is far superior, I have both, the venting and internal sun visor makes a huge difference

I think it depends on your bike, where you ride and how fast you want to go. The lighter weight and better aerodynamics on the 11, I find just makes it a quieter helmet that's more stable at motorway/high way speeds. I had a GT air and never used the sun visor so for the 70 it's just a weight penalty for something I don't wish to use. Thanks I did see a video from HJC and I had no idea what the lady was saying when she pronounced RPHA but this was after I made this video.

I guess it's preference, Most reviews of the 70st rank it as one of the quietest, Definitely better for upright riding, I think the 11 is better for tucks.. Have a great day sir

id have pronounced raffa as well 😉

@@Chambers36TheEnter ive had both and the 11 is a better helmet, looks better as well, i have a naked and sports bikes and performs great on both , not a fan of the internal visor.....but its all about what floats your boat
