I show you the budget-friendly Aim Sports M LOK handguard for the HK 91 C308 line of rifles.

Just picked one up for my PTR build. Also picked up a Magpul PRS stock from Buds Guns. $199 delivered. Bill Springfield is putting it all together. PTR stainless 1-10 heavy barrel with a LMT muzzle break , 4.5 lbs trigger, improved buffer, Black Slate Industries rail covers and paddle magazine release. I can’t wait.

Glad you made this video. Buddy's dad gave me his C308 because he had that same triple 1913 rail like you used to have and said it was kinda brutal on his hands and he wanted the handgaurd replaced but didn't know/didn't care to learn how to do it. I told him it wouldn't be a problem. Coming from someone that has put together many ARs (I hate the word "builds") I didn't realize how limited parts are for these guns or that there were any significant differences between the G3 and CETME. Would never run a $50 Chinese handgaurd on any of my guns but the guy that wanted me to work on his doesn't put his guns through the same abuse or shoot nearly the amount of rounds as I do so I'm just gonna send it with this one.

Yea, I think you will be happy with it for the price. I like it for what I paid for it and the best option I found for the C308.

Mine wiggles and blemishes the rifle where it contacts. I got an AC Unity wide handguard now, which is awesome and has the classic g3 look, but good luck finding the bipod!

Thanks for the heads up. Got a Spanish cetme...the receiver is a little more work than most. The OG operating system that became HK.

You are welcome. This platform has an interesting history for sure considering people usually associate it even though it has a Spanish/German heritage. I think this platform is very versatile.

@@GunsandGearNetwork for sure . It's one of a couple projects I haven't finished. Just like half my garage. Done other types of operating systems. Nothing as far as delayed blowback. Got EVERYTHING needed. Just enjoying the luxury of time.

H&K has a band that is welded to the gas tube that captures the front hand guard. Cetme’s do not. But as you discovered if you torque it down it should work. I having the band installed on mine.

I know the loose fit all to well. I had to fabricate a piece out of aluminum to compression fit so it would stay in place. It was so loose that the other end of the forgrip would come out of the receiver. Works good now though

I'm having the same problem. Mine is an extended one, with a bit of rail out in front of the sight. Dunno why they did that, but I'm probably going to have to fab something like that too.

No, I have not tried the carbine length. I have been happy so far with this one.

If people would have been "prepared" like they should prices would not be a huge issue. I (and others ) have preached for years about prepping (beans, bullets and band-aids) for moments like this. Even today I am still buying and prepping based on what I think the future could hold. One of the top things Biden is looking at doing is executive actions on firearms and top on that list is imports specifically. Since the election, I have been buying import firearms and accessories just because I knew it would be a top priority and surprised he has not done it yet.

@@GunsandGearNetwork couldn't have been better put. I understand the term "Stackem hi n deep " intimately. A Friend wants to go to GUN show tomorrow for same reason. You can't do in a day what some have been doing for years. With current events.....let's just say" I'm not having to chase it at those prices". I believe part of being self sufficient is having ability to reload as well.Preferably with SOME seat time. But that's just me.

It took some fitting but I got it to work. I also did a video about adding a handle.
