I was a very proud owner of a Lucas Impact system and only sold it because it was getting a bit old and Australia doesn't have a wholesaler for HK Audio that I know of. I'm also not as young as I once was and that 30kg sub was getting a bit heavy. I sold it for a good price to a devoted HK Audio fan and I'm glad that it's gone to a good new home! The Lucas Impact is a phenomenal system and I used it very successfully for a number of gigs with 250-350 people. It's sound was more like a great sounding HiFi than a PA. I nearly bought a pair of Polar 10 column arrays but went for a pair of Evolve 30Ms instead because they offered more speaker for the same amount of money even though they're not quite as loud.

For years I bought hk audio systems till the pulsar came out. Invested 8.000 euros in the new system and after a short time some speakers fail. It was a known amp problem so they repaired it a few times. But the problem still kept returning. So for every gig I pray if the speakers wil work and keep playing the whole gig through. I had a few time contact with hk but they do nothing about it. The pulsar was only for a short period available I guess because off the design problem. Now I have to Save money to buy a new system. I bought 8 sets of hk audio through the years, never had any problem. Now when I need them for swapping my system for a working l3 set, they won’t help me. So in all the years they are glad to take my around 42.000 euros. But after sales on a problem by wrong design speaker, there not home. Thanks hk ! I keep telling this story in the whole Benelux (my work area) because I made my college buy hk because of my good story’s. But now I stop with that and advise them not to buy hk audio!

Linear 5 series is ok but their lower end use underpowered amps in my opinion, I would like to hear their new series I hear the SUB 1500 A is quite good but I haven’t heard it.
