how many rounds till the recoil spring is broken in. Just got mine and put first 200 rounds through it. It and would double feed on freedom munitions 147 gr (900 fps) Would run Winchester 115 white box but would not lock the slide back. Winchester 124 NATO rounds worked perfectly.

+Tac Dad do you have a vp9 tactical? I've heard those same complaints with the Tactical version. I've also heard of the Freedom Munitions 147 not feeding the greatest as well in the vp9 systems. That comes from a comprehensive test that was going on for quite a while on a vp9 tactical

Yes I have the Tactical. I just ordered a stainless steel guide rod with 17 pound spring for Galloway which is the older lighter spring poundage. I'm hoping this will work until the other one breaks in a bit. I can certainly use the lighter spring for steel match with 147 grain for light recoil and use the heavier one for 3 gun, plate rack, and or self defense.

Also, I am going to have to Durcoat the slide eventually, gun metal grey, because I love the color and the finish already has a few scratches.

+Tac Dad my tip to you is run a higher pressure cartridge 9mm until you break in the Tactical and then switch over to the subsonic 147 slower-moving projectile with less back pressure. I have heard this complaint before about the 147 grain from freedom not working until the breaking. In the Tactical is achieved. The whole point of those tactical is it has tougher Springs because people run it suppressed. People shouldn't buy this gun unless they plan on running it suppressed or swapping out the internals to the stock internals until they have a suppressor. Suppressor blowback would correct this issue with the 147's after break in

It was at a great price and I figured I would eventually run a suppressor. Plus the barrel is 4.7 inches which would give higher muzzle velocity and better accuracy. That's fine, like I said I can switch recoil springs for the intended use. I have also heard the 147 freedom munitions having issues with M&P 2.0. They run great in my Glocks. Love the VP9!

How is the trigger better than the SK?

I'm saying for the pistols that we own. The full size vp9 has a better feeling trigger. Our SK is a little bit mushier. But this is our experience with our personal guns
