the Mark 23 is by all accounts the best designed sidearm in small arms history. The mean rounds between stoppages is nothing shy of astounding. The military durability test was actually modified several times during the adoption phase, and no matter what they couldn't break the gun. The Seals and Green Berets still use it too. The LAM looks much different now, however.

I love HK Weapons. I picked up an SP5k this past year and am in the process of doing an SBR and suppressing it. Even as it comes in a pistol form it’s a badass weapon. I peppered a paper plate at about 15yrds right out of the box with no zeroing done and while pulling the trigger as fast as possible. HK makes the best products and their prices reflects their quality.

+Dan Volkov First off bolt guns and lever action are not battle rifles. So for this, a battle rifle, is going to be a semi or fully automatic rifle, firing full size rifle cartridge, like the 7.62x51mm NATO. They usually hold a capacity of 20 rounds, has high recoil and medium rate of fire like 400 to 600 rounds per minute. An assault rifle on the other hand, is a rifle firing a intermediate cartridge like the 5.54x51mm round. It usually feed from a 30 round magazine, has little recoil and has a high rate of fire, like 700 rounds per minute. Also select fire capability. Hope it helped you know the difference between an assault rifle and a battle rifle. Of cause there a other, differences between the guns, but this is the basics.

You do know that a 7.62x51 mm (.308) is a cartridge that has been necked down from a 30-06 right? Therefore it's not a full size rifle cartridge, that actually makes it an intermediate cartridge. You can argue if you want, but just remember that the Germans designated the round that the STG-44 fired as an intermediate cartridge (that's where the idea came from) because it was a necked down round from what the Mauser K-98 fired, and the STG-44 fired a bigger round than the G-3 does. 7.92×33mm (STG-44) VS. 7.62 x 51 mm (G3)

In the 1980's 'till the late 1990's, H&K agreed to market and import Benelli shotguns for them. Benelli now imports and markets their own products without the help of H&K. However, H&K marked Benelli shotguns now command a slight premium because of this.

I love Hk but I’ve had to ditch the brand. Just too fucking expensive. I wanted a semiauto 12 gauge but the Super 90 is over 2k. So I’d choose the VEPR-12. I wanted a piston AR and the MR556 seemed like the obvious choice. But I got a POF AR for $1k less than the Hk. I love their pistols, but I’m now staring to be perfectly happy with a Glock. If Hk wants to make affordable guns in the US, great. But I feel like many people simply can’t afford to support Hk

I like the limited edition MP5 chambered in 10mm 40cal is such a dumb fuckin stupid round .Doesn't make sense if it can't drop a bad guy. I shot wild hogs with 40cal at 30-40 yards it didn't do as much damage needed and recoil was pointless.

The pistols have always been available, but you can thank the Federal Government for banning the importation of foreign made military style rifles in 1989 (also, new transferable select fire weapons were banned in 1986). HK Gmbh had nothing to do with this legislation.

We don't think they are pistols, we call them that because our government classifies them as pistols. We don't add stocks very often because it reclassifies it as a short barreled rifle which requiring paying a tax and a huge background check to do legally. Without a stock they are classified as a pistol which requires nothing but a background check. Now there are some "Braces" we can add to them that do not reclassify them and are similar to a stock. There's been a lot of debate on the legality of touching them to your shoulder though.
