Dear sir I'm HLA B27 suffering from AS. Taking NSAID but AS is still there. Had uveitis 3 times in last 3 years. I took adalimumab 3 doses last year. As per rheumatologist I've been advised to start remicade IV infusion. Please suggest if it's safe to start the IV infusion of remicade.

My HLA B27 is negative. I started having severe sciatica and back pain (sacroilitis)when I got pregnant. I also had PUPS during pregnancy. After 3yrs of suffering last week I got diagnosed with AS. Sir is there any chance that my foetal gene caused me AS during pregnancy since I was allergic to it ( had PUPS). I have a male child? There is not much movement at the SI joint & fusion of the SI joint generally does not cause any problem. If you are having pain; either the AS is active or there is some other reason. Do talk to your rheumatologist to understand the exact cause of pain. Do speak & understand if you have inflammation of the hip as it can cause pain while standing/ sitting.

Sir mera ankylosing spondylitis hei.. dard bohat reheta hei kabhi kabhi.. dr. Saaz 1000 continue lifetime lene k liye kaha. Isse side effct hoga kyamm kidney me problem.. or per me chot ayi 3 months ho gaya.. xrsy pe bhi kuch nahi mila.m ye kya ankylosing spondyltiis k liye kam nshi ho raha.. sir plz reply

AS activity tends to fluctuate & there could be other reasons for a high CRP as well. Other reasons are less likely if there is no fever. Keep consulting your rheumatologist & ensure that AS is tightly controlled.
