People may troll him, but some of his views on education make a lot of sense.

Oh reeealy! I have heard som BS but this is THE BEST. I dropped out of school in Std 8. I finally got to University at 49. I finally got my masters degree at 54. I think I possibly know how important education really is. The difference in my approach to my job, society and Life changed radically. Everyone comments on it. What would I have contributed if I had that education at 24 or 30 years earlier...

@@johnbondza Yes I agree, but it is also possible to educate yourself without formal education and have the necessary skills and knowledge to lead and influence positive change and growth.

@@htprince3729 Yup Hulisan - and right now there are thousands of South Africans doing just this. Have a look at UNISA and the various Distant Learning Programs. BUT this is very hard work! Those amazing people who do it are inspirational.

It's not about his education... It's his lies about it,that is a problem. The best business people world over are not educated past matric

Sorry to disappoint many but with regards to this clip, I see nothing wrong with what Hlaudi is saying. He educated himself and was daily working on himself unlike many who think matric and degree certificates are the end of it all. The problem with many schooled people is that they are too arrogant to learn from those who didn’t reach the same level of schooling as themselves. The nice thing in his testimony is that he admits to training a lot of people who worked at the SABC and from personal experience I know that a lot of people in many companies are too selfish to share their knowledge and perceive the fact you are more schooled than them as a major threat to their comfort zone

The irony in the way in which he talked about how violence should be covered surprises me...I mean Skeem Saam, Uzalo and Generations has elements of Gangsterism but they didn't get any flack for it...Conflict sells but I do agree that we do need more positive role models portrayed on Television but to be honest that remains up to the audience to decide what they wanna watch...SABC Has educational programming and nobody makes that stuff trend on the net, maybe it's not packaged in a way that looks appealing...Say what you will about Hlaudi but his intentions were good but leadership made him take another direction, and you cannot bite the hand that feeds you I suppose.
