Just stick with the kid you adopted. If you were good to her, she will love you and someday bury you. As for the step-kids, let them suffer since they did it to themselves by purposely being cruel and unfair to you. Seems like the Father should have put his foot down on those kids. He allowed them to step all over you by telling you to be patient. You should have stood up for yourself and let them know you're not playing around. Trust me, been there done that. Those kids need to understand that their mom is dead. She cannot get back up and live with them anymore. Those kids are just plain evil. They need to understand that you are not there to replace their mom. It's best not to be stuck in a marriage knowing that those kids don't like you.
