HM209: Accurascale Class 66 project update

WOW. Looking good. I've got 5 of the 2nd run on pre-order. I'm guessing these are just decorated samples and not the final versions. I only mention it as the lower bodyside grey on the Fastline version looks a bit too light (needs to be darker), but this could be because of the studio lighting making it appear lighter than it actually is. I'm sure the Accurascale magic will be sprinkled over it so come despatch to customers it'll be spot on. 👍🏼👍🏼

Two things for the next batch... 1. Make sure the cab end hand rails are properly glued on at the bottom ends of the hand rail. 2. Make sure the sound vibration/body resonation issues are eliminated so when buying the sound fitted loco's it doesn't have buzzing/vibration noise thru the body and especially thru the removable panel which is an issue that needs to be resolved. 3. A nice have, like with the previous Hattons version can you at least install the detailed deflector at one end saving people having to do it? Doing these things will pretty much ensure of Accurascale making the perfect Class 66.

Cant comment now Steve, you have covered pretty much there is to say, just wonder if Accurascale will produce the right (very un 66'ish silly horn squeak) on the more recent imports such as 66793/794? What have you gone for i wonder? Just ordered the two for now Colas and the exclusive 66190,Martin House. I'm also tempted with Maritime three. Hope your keeping well and happy modelling too, regards Nick.

From this line up, my locos of interest are 66724, 66414, 66789 & 66421. 66724 is to be a priority next year due to me loosing out on 66763.

I enjoy the locomotive reviews, but how about more rolling stock reviews. We buy more rolling stock than locomotives.
