Only a person who has been to war himself could sing with such passion about others who did not make it home. A beautiful voice singing a beautiful song.

Is there anyone else there that 'feels' the endurance, bravery & understands what these young men (& indeed parents) went through? I sincerely hope so 💜💜💜

As much as I like the polished renditions of this song - and I have seen Normie sing one live when he was much younger - I think I like and appreciate this version just as much if not better.

Yes I saw him sing this when he was quite a bit younger too. And that performance we wonderful. But this performance was extremely moving it seemed to come from the heart.

I'm going down the Normie Rowe rabbit hole at the moment because I'm feeling nostalgic and I know Normie has performed this in his theatre days, but holy s..., this has made me 😭, just wow, perfect song for the occasion 👌👏
