loved watching paul youngs programmes, he was'nt a fishing superstar but an ordinary angler who loved his fishing, no self praise or whooping and cheering like matt hayes, paul genuinely enjoyed his days on the water and gave us all a lot of pleasure and is a really nice down to earth bloke....and was great as shug in still game, mothers pride, best ae gear, get it up yi 🤣

Just see this vid now. And immediately recognize Paul Young. I had a video-tape wich where he is explaning the casting with a flyrod. I wanted to learn it so badly,I may have watched the tape a 100 times. Funny how someone can be so burned in your memory,while you dont even met him in real life! Btw:I now cast everything flawless.From #0 to # 12 I had so much equipment at one time,it wasnt funny anymore. Thanks for "teaching" me mr. Young!

such a shame that almost all fishing programme these days focus on carp fishing , thats why hooked on fishing was my favourite, he did focus on uk game and all round fishing.
