I remember the final trailer for BotW did nothing for me after seeing hours of tree house footgae months before, lol. The one that got me was the one from e3 2016 which was the first proper trailer for the game. This one game a similar feeling.

Bruh, having beaten TOTK and rewatching this. I wanna go back to 9:05 PST on May 11, 2023 when this game finally dropped after 4 1/2 agonizing years of highly anticipated theorizing, guessing, but mostly....the WAITING. So many fan theories were damn near spot on for TOTK, and the game simply blew my mind. I mean, a whole ass SUBTERRANEAN map the same size of Hyrule's surface ENROBED IN DARKNESS, and we had to light the whole goddamn thing up one Lighroot at a time, knowing the gloom wreathed enemies awaiting in the darkness could pack Link out at ANY time early on? THIS WAS *THE* TRAILER OF ALL ZELDA TRAILERS

The most hype is the scene with Link leading a rebellion of regular Hylians at 4:04 like farmers and regular people standing up to fight or launch a daring mission of sorts. Love seeing the Hylians put it all on the line instead of leaving it just to the champions.

Something I noticed, during the events that transpired before SS, the humans were cowering in fear, unable to fight, and hylia sent them all into the sky, while the rest of the races banded together to fight demise and his demons. What we are seeing here, however, is the hylians fighting back against ganon and his army along with the other tribes. And seeing as the hylians are not being sent into the sky, among many other things, I think it is pretty safe to say we are not seeing the birth of a cyclical timeline here.

Yeah I don't believe it's a prequel to SS but I do believe Time travel is gonna be a huge part. I feel like Zelda has been sent back in time to the height of the Zonai kingdom hence why nothing is seen in the air and she is with what seems to be Zonai people, either that or the Zonai have their own alternate dimension like the Twilight realm with its own version of hyrule.

The races aren’t the same as SS either. There were no Gerudo in SS’ time/ before, there were only the ‘Gerudo Dragonfly’ which could be indicative of a specific part of the desert. There were no Zora either. In fact, the Hylians and Gorons are the only recurring races from SS(excluding the dragons).

Demise's curse, on the other hand, definitely plays a part I think. Because of the great calamity killing everyone else in Hyrule Castle, Zelda may be the last person with the blood of the goddess, and according to Demise, "Those who share the blood of the goddess and the spirit of the hero... They are eternally bound to this curse". Ending the bloodline may mean ending the curse. So maybe Zelda herself, the Zonai, Demise or someone else has sent Zelda back in time to prevent her from dying in the pit, swapping her out for an ancient Zelda (the new character that fires a beam of light at moldugas) in a different place and time to ensure the bloodline continues.

I find this interesting: She says things like “Link, you must come find me” and “I know why I am here…” These lines are like she’s not in a world of her own. Like she’s somewhere different. I don’t think she’s just in the sky or underground. She is in the past. *EDIT* I also see in the shot where she’s holding the tear, the Master Sword is under her. It seems like the sword falls with her and she repairs it over the course of her own journey, while Link does whatever he does. It’s also strange because when the mysterious new ally is talking to Zelda, she acts like she is just remembering Link, almost like she lost her memory or something?

I noticed that too. Most people's reactions you don't feel the energy, but Zeltik, Maze, and HMK are absolutely knowledgeable. I didn't notice Demise until someone mentioned it and I checked back, but I also think Hylia will be in the game. They released Skyward Sword on the Switch for a reason. Tears of the Kingdom could be a long game sequel to Skyward Sword.

Initial thoughts: - Zelda is in another time/dimension? She's not underground and she's not in the sky in the last shot. And there's no sky islands in the shot. She's standing on very fresh/non-aged Zonai structure that is on the ground level. - The mushroom people from the artbook as Minish seems to be "deconfirmed", because Hateno has that weird mushroom clothing shop and some villagers are wearing mushroom cap hats! - Is that first shot of "Ganon" actually Demise/someone else? - The music is INSANE! The saxophone hot damn! - You definitely get to build settlements etc.! - How can they be rebuilding Castle Town while Hyrule Castle is spewing malice right next door?! More alternate dimension shenanigans?

It’s skin looks too spotted to be a goron. It could just be something it’s wearing, though. Ok I thought it looked familiar so I went back and checked in the E3 2021 trailer, and at around 0:48 you can see the jabu jabu tentacle thing has an orb attached to the bottom of it when it swings at link. It looks like it’ll detach once you do enough damage to the tentacle and become it’s own seperate enemy
