That is a great bit of electronic kit. Note that on the website there are some helpful instructions. I wish I’d seen the video before I spent time sorting out sea clocks and pumps for the galley. I never thought of a foot pump as a sink outlet. Brilliant.

Hi mate, off topic for this video but I know you have a 1GM10 and are a fan. I’ve an old YSB8 and it’s really underpowered as in properly struggles. It’s on a cobra 750 which is slightly smaller than yours but probably similar size over all. Was wondering if I should go for the 1GM10 or maybe a 2GM that was 12-15hp if could get my hands on one of course. Just valued your opinion on the 1GM in terms of performance. Not looking to create a speedboat lol but would like the engine to cope better. Thanks in advance 👍

Damien Duggan well, my opinion for what it’s worth... I can’t make hull speed with my engine, and I’m ok with that because on a sailing boat, the engine is an auxiliary feature. That said, a cobra may be about the same physical size but it’s much lighter than a twister. So 2 things really 1, you should buy a twister, and 2, if a twister managed fine on a 1gm10 I have no doubt that yours will too. I know that many people are a fan of beta 14 engines for both cobras and twisters. It really depends on what you expect to achieve with it... probably not helpful I know. 1gm10 with the right prop and you’d probably be happy.

@@SVRoquetta no that’s actually super helpful. Like you hull speed isn’t the target enough power and reliability would be great. The propeller is tiny on the boat now that you mention it so that is also probably a factor 👍 thanks for responding love your videos👍
