Something you’ll need to realize: the Wattersons are completely unhinged. Gumball is the epitome of a menace, but you somehow can’t fully hate him. This family will only get crazier as the seasons pass. Darwin is the most morally and mentally stable of the five, but that is by no means an accomplishment.

man teri is one of my favorite side characters even though she only gets a small amount of screen time. while her OCD/health anxiety(they no longer call it hypochondria) is exaggerated, i still find her kinda relatable as someone with OCD. contamination OCD is not my main point of obsessive thinking (there’s actually several different types of OCD, most people with it have multiple) feels like she represents my thought process pretty well although my rituals are not as disruptive. haven’t gotten sick in three years though!

Season 1 Gumball and Darwin were essentially a single entity, who acted too much like a SpongeBob ripoff, just in a school setting...So I'm happy that starting with season 2 Gumball was given more personality, and became a cynical and hypocritical, but entertaining, jerk
