Hey Todd, every time you learn new Lao words I write them down. When I travel back to Laos I will do some lessons. I have to get up to speed to "fit in". Every time you struggle with the language it reminds me of how friendly the Lao people are and smile if we give it a go. Universal language of " The Smile" 😁 Awesome video once again. 👍

Hello do you know which Website i could use to find a good tourist guide to visit remote villages in Laos? Im afraid i won't be welcomed if i go by myself. Thank you and your video was very interesting

This Hmong village is near Luangprabang. If you were to ask on a Luangprabang Facebook group page, I'm sure you'd get lots of offers from guides in that area 👌

Hey Bro,,lovely! Now THAT is the old man I'd like to talk to. Maybe eat some magic mushrooms,,,lol ,, then we'd understand each other perfectly,,, language be damned. No way did he look 87! Lol only if.. the last village,,did you say Lao Lhong people?? That was a neat little, beautiful temple the drone shot. Once again I'm amazed at the textures and colors of the roofs in the villages. Hmong, Khmu and Lao ? Were the 3 villages? I love this stuff and I love the fact that you go out of your way to try and communicate,,learning the greetings and thanks. That goes a long way in smoothing things out. Another great video Todd. You and Neenee take care and be safe,,Ttyl,,,Marlon,,, 900 new cases today,,18 straight days over 500,, over 30,000 cases and 400 deaths in Montana. Bout 3% of the population,,the Spanish flu hit about 2.5 to 2.8% of the population. I'm sick to death of moronic,,stupid,,idiotic,,braindead people and their spouting of trumptarded non facts. I will be glad when Nov.3 arrives and most of the election shit will be finished. I'm sick of constant ads. Anyway,,take care guys
@NowinLao4 жыл бұрын
Hi Marlon.. the first village was Ban Long, and the people were Hmong. The 2nd was a Khmu Village, Ban Nor. The 3rd with the drone was a Lao Loum village, not sure of the name. Traditionally the Hmong are high mountain people, and the Khmu also, usually not as high as the Hmong tho... and the Lao Loum are lowland people, with villages by the rivers. As you seen in this video. The homong were at the end of this road, highest up, then the khmu, with the Lao Loum down by the river. Take care my friend, I hope change is on its way 🙏

We used to get the food cart coming around nearly every day when we lived in Ban Thongpanthong. Heaps of edible goodies on board. The lady who owned it once asked me if I was interested in a mia noi (you best ask Neenee what that means ;) )..
@NowinLao4 жыл бұрын
Lol.. I understand what both words on their own mean, not gonna risk having to explain why I'm asking that 😝
@jurgentreue12004 жыл бұрын
@@NowinLao,, Mate.. Neenee will have a giggle. A very commonly used term in Laos and Thailand. Mia means wife, noi means small. Nothing to do with a woman's stature.
