@ it really is good! If you liked that have you read Neil (Sam) Samworth’s books? He was a prison officer in Strangeways prison. Search his name on KZbin and you’ll see quite a few interviews he’s done, they’ll give you an insight to what his book is like because he narrates his book. There’s another autobiography by a female police officer that worked undercover that really good. She’s done a few interviews on KZbin that you could check out her story to work out if you’d like the book ( she narrates the audiobook herself as well). If you’re interested I’ll dig out her name and the name of Neil (Sam) Samworth

If you have Spotify premium Vanessa's book is on there in audiobook guys! Some of the stories are quite brutal and one involves mistreatment of an animal so trigger warning for that but its such a well written and interesting book, AND she narrates it herself. I can only listen to memoirs recorded by the author lol. Great podcast btw! ☺️❤️

Just discovered Vanessa..absolutely love her what an amazing career shes had ..its just ashame politicians think they no best n there best over past 15.20 year maybe longer has been to cut spending meaning taking away the good work that used to be done .. if the prison service was as it was in the 80s 90s i wouldn't think twice about going into it but how things are now no way to much left weird BS involved but i think im a similarl personality to Vanessa i Would love to make a difference ...ty Vanessa im looking forward to reading your book 📖 ❤

In some aspects suicide is a coward's way out more so in the sense of a high profile serial killer such as fred west or shipman because as you said they cant suffer when they're dead thats why i dont agree with the death penalty

Tv in a cell , not on my time , we were bored but that’s jail , no plug sockets in the cells , jail is not wot it was like in the mid 90s , prison sounds easy now .
