Brilliant video, thanks for posting. I went on-board with my late Dad when she visited Fleetwood, some time before the Falklands War. What a surprise to see the role she had down there. Thanks again, Jack.

I visited the Onyx in 1982 at the Hull docks, we had to sign the OSA to go on board. I was 16 at the time and at Hull nautilcal college. I got pulled by 2 security for taking a photo

A few familiar faces there. Interesting to see the crew list for the 1985 recommissioning. I really enjoyed that draft

Sadly HMS Onyx and HMS Plymouth have both been scrapped. HMS Bronnington, was sunk, probably on purpose by 'Peel Holdings' and U-534 has been chopped into 4 segments for display at the Woodside ferry terminal. Sad end for all ships from the museum! :(

Any other nation would look at preserving her, like HMS Plymouth she's scrapped, sad.

At least there are O boats preserved. Along with Alliance it's great that young and old can see these boats. I think they should save HRS Dreadnought currently at Rosyth as our first nuke powered boat, and save at least one of the Polaris boats. Pref Reso .There should be enough bits and bobs to make good at least 1 for museam piece. Ex Forendy Reso

Australia saved one of her O boats, it's in Fremantle Western Australia.
