Can I just directly connect to the COM port on the motherboard, so I don't have to order a converter for this? (Pin 2,3,5 on the motherboard is RX, TX and Ground if I see it correctly. )

You seem to have some interaction with them. Can you ask them to release at least 045 or 046? I have 045 on mine but there seem to be an issue with the trigger. I would like reflash it to 45 or 46. I would like to try 40 but then can't get back to 45. Is there a way to download the firmware off the chip so that I could reflash it back? I have made several posts to JYE's forum, but they don't respond to any of the posts. Thanks for any help. Have a nice day.

Hi: Could you tell me if you can read the HEX file off the unit you have and save it so that if you have an issue, you can reinstall the same file back into your oscilloscope? I have a 045 and they have not released it and I was going to try 040 and I want to be able to get 045 back. I don't want to mess things up!!!! Thanks for any help you can give me.

amtpdb1 You can read/write the hex file once you have connected so you should be able to back up and restore the firmware you have.

thevisad Thanks for the information. As I am not sure how this would be done, I wonder if you would take pity on those of us that are less knowledgeable and think about making a video to show us how (;-)? I really don't want to mess it up with all the settings. Thanks again for answering and I hope you think about making a video showing us how. Don

Hi: They are saying they have up to 50 now. They say they are not going to give that out due to copies using their software. So I have a legit unit and can't get it! They mentioned that they have up to 49 they will let us have. They said to download, but I can't find anywhere to get it. I would hope they would allow any of us to show proof and let us download it. Mine came with 45 but I would like to upgrade it at least to 49 but as I said, can't find it. They said the 50 version gives you less noise!!!!! I want it!!!! Do you have a place where the later versions could be found? Thanks for the video.

Thank you for your great videos. One question. Do you know what the usb port is for?
@thevisad9 жыл бұрын
Діма Сандомірський You can use the USB to power the device and there is a way to access the chip via the USB interface as well. I added a link to the chip family page at ST Micro. It requires a special USB driver and software I believe to access it.

thevisad Is it possible for the DSO138 to connect to JYELab? If not, could it be added to the firmware?
@thevisad9 жыл бұрын
Діма Сандомірський Good question, I will ask them and let you know when they update me. I know it's a different driver then the other supported scopes.

Діма Сандомірський They provided the following answer, The miniUSB connector was provided for possible future use or for user's own use. Presently it is optional and does not have any function.
