Thank you!! Am 65, was in HO for many years,got into O scale but am back into HO again,but forgot how to wire my layout. Followed your advise and have my track blocked where I want blocks. Hope to go to DCC eventually,but that's a LONG way off unfortunately. God Bless you and have a great day!!😊

Hi Guy, I got back into the hobby after 45 yrs. I had Tyco trains as a kid. I like your video. Hi I have been picking up trains and accessories on EBay. I wanted to tell you that I will be watching your other videos.good job!

Have you thought of using Atlas under-table switch machines?

Due to the cost, I'm unlikely to ever go dcc. Im never going to spend $700 - $1500.00 for a new dcc Loco. So im going to fully exploit the manual isolation switches and multi transformers as well. Great layout start!

Insulfrog points are great for breaking a layout into segments. Not sure why you'd wire a short siding but hey, it's your layout and maybe shunting is your thing while the main circuits are running? Enjoy playing with your system to get what you want out of it. Happy Modelling.

Please please tell me what kind of switches your using next to the control box. I love the looks of them over the regular throw switches.

Thank you for this video. I am going to try to wire my layout like yours. Is there any way you can show the wiring or provide a sketch as to how and where the isolated sections get wired? Or can you show more regarding the wiring off the inside rail from the main buss line?

Those Peco turnouts are great. We call them turnouts and not switches because it gets confusing with actual switches (hint hint). Also, those type of turnouts I have been calling them power cut off turnouts. The older Walthers were like that too. Are you using the common rail method to isolate your track sections?

The other thing you can do is put more isolators and switches in to make sections on each spur isolated so you can stack up locos on the same piece of track. That is something I am doing on my DC layout.

Hi, do you have a list of what you used on the layout and how you wired it up.

I have a one track loop dc with points that head into siding. When I flip to the siding the whole thing stops. Do I need to wire the siding to the loop?
@brandoncheung30529 ай бұрын
I believe so. I think the switches are insulated so you would have to wire the siding to get any power there.

Wait? You can't afford DCC? I brought an NCE system on rBay. It's not expensive
