@@SCL3618 Usually they don’t break. The most I’ve seen them do is break off a lamp iron or a handrail, which can easily be glued on again. Luckily your bridges on your layout seem to be fine

There's no set time or reason, sometimes stuff just happens when it wants to. Thus why it takes a while, I don't like staging.

Amazon is honestly one of the worst options for trying to buy HO scale equipment. Poor selection and jacked up prices across the board. Highly suggest checking out a local hobby shop if possible, otherwise ebay or online shops will be your best bet.

Mainly boils down to sketchy track on an older club layout. Occasionally you'll get a funky car or engine, but this setup will claim anything from fresh out of box to reliable runners.

Anything less than decent speed will get you run over here, not to mention most of the stuff is barely running over speed step 60 on JMRI. Mainline is for hustling, save the crawling for branches and yards.

That's what you get with modern DCC equipment; wheel flanges too shallow, code 83 low rails (just to be prototypical), improper NMRA weight for the rolling stock with too shallow wheel flanges, improper coupler height, etc. That's why my layout is DC and code 100 track and good wheel flanges. This hobby has gotten too expensive with all the DCC and crappy sounding locos. I don't see what kinda buzz you get out of all that crappy sound.

This whole layout is Code 100, albeit it's slightly antiquated with some sketchy track. If anything, old equipment runs the worst on this compared to what you've seen in these clips. The cheap bluebox days are done and gone, luckily there's enough on the market where anyone can pick stuff up cheap and upgrade to better as they see fit.
