Thanks Amy and Jarrad for this investigation. That rock in the courtyard would be the death of most having to be shackled with no shade, that's sever punishment, much like flogging. The use of the word "imbecile" was quite common in England in those days, not so much in the US. Amy, you're right about the wooden door frame giving off changes in the meter, wood wouldn't do that, you're right that unless there's an active wire in the metal conduit there shouldn't be a change, and I reckon the metal is the old galvanized steel, strange! The women who are locked up are historically hair pullers, scratchers and biters, not surprising you would get scratched. Good investigation

Ok, to me, the response at 29:58 clearly says “Get. Out.” Also, here’s a thought: the word “Scratch “ that you got earlier came shortly after the word “Devil”. The name Old Scratch has often been used for the devil, at least here in the USA.
