I just played using Ho-Oh and I particularly like the Sky Attack + Fire Spin cause it gives more of Defender vibe than the other two moves. I equipped Aeos Cookie, Attack Weight and rotating between Weakness Policy, Exp. Share and Resonant Guard. Its a really good Defender in my opinion and by far the best EX to play, not so easy like Mewtwo Y!! Or a bit harder like Zacian/Miraion. Overall, solid release. Thanks for this guide, buddy!

I played a lot of Ho-oh and I got a tip to share. I like to play double stacking with Resonant Guard, and Resonant Guard is great for Fire Spin. The shield from this item takes damage before Fire Spin's shield, altho I can't confirm this adds up to the explosion damage this can help a lot when comes to detonating. Sometimes the enemy does so much damage you don't get to the explosion part of the move and this helps a lot to reach this part, also you will provide a shield to the ally you dive in with. 50% damage reduction and a shield? that's sounds like a good deal.

@@gauravkashyap8408double stock is good for ho oh 3rd item depends on you. focust band, resonate guard, or exp share dont use buddy barrier since it wont give shield to the pokemon you revive, skill set up if you want to deal more damage second skill move is good but most ho oh user pick the first move set since fire spine can support your team for reduce damage when they are inside the skill. embelem 6 white 6 brown. some tips always make sure you have atlist 25 points in case you need to revive more then 2 alies

I like running Fire Spin/Flamethrower due to Sky Attack being easily stunnable and with that second build using curse even more. Stay with the team, cursing the other with flamethrower and using fire spin to support the team feels nice.

I think it’s the most “defender” build. Gives you solid damage mitigation for your team with both the redirection from spin and the stat debuff from flamethrower, immediate lifesteal (sky attack needing + for sustain sucks imo) plus you kinda get the same ground burning effect as sky attack anyway, just not in an oval. Im kinda surprised that’s not a build he touched on at all, it feels like the best option to me.

It feels like 60% of the time I try running exp share on a defender, my lane partners do that stupid thing where they skip the first bunnies and make a beeline to score/subsequently get ko'd. Then abandon the lane and/or ignore farm on our side in lieu of inting for stacks. Thoughts on Cookie/Guard/Focus for max sustainability instead of an attacking item or exp share?

Keep playing Exp share and skip the bunnies with him. If he does that, he just need points to score for his attack weight or smth and he don't wanna waste time. Keep skipping the same bunnies, walk with him all over to the enemies tower and suck those enemies attacks for him so he can stack his scores. Start hitting next bunnies while he scores so they're low and he get last hit to score again. It's early game bro. Worth risking it. Best case is u both get away low before first altaria at 8.50.

Playing Defender or Supporter without EXP Share is straight trolling. Please start teach the Community to Focus more on Team Play. Nearly each Game iam Losing is because my Team don´t know how to Play Map and play as Team. You´re one of the biggest Content Creators for Unite and i think it would serve the Playerbase really well if showed how to play the Game the right way. Especially you should probably teach the Community what Exp Share does and how it helps the Team, so that your Defender wont Rage if they dont get a lasthit on Farm or something. Please teach the People more how the Team Game works. Crucial is also that your Defender or Supporter always should think about Dying for any DD they can save, since EXP Share Mons are nearly not worth any Catch Up EXP. So if you can Safe Center or a Lane Carry and Die for it you as Defender or Supporter did the Right Thing. Maybe you can Help the Community in teaching them more how the Game works. That would make the Game much more Fun. Thats said youre a great Dude Spragels, pls help the Game to grow bigger while teaching them how the Game works.

My favorite build for Ho-Oh is Sky Attack / Fly, with Muscle / Rapid / Weight + X-Speed. It's an all out auto attack build. I admit, the other builds are better for team play, but my build works great as a solo carry!!

While Flamethrower/Fly could definitely use a buff or two, I still think the build is pretty amazing against melee/support comps. I just wish that Fly gave you hinderance resistance whenever you used it. Also Cursed Bangle is an absolute must no matter which build you go.

Very very fun pokemon, Im already a beast with it. Doesnt feel broken, but definitely very good, sadly it's always banned in drafts because people dont wanna learn the matchup. I wish Ho oh could use his unite when dead to revive himself only, that fly gave boosted autos for the whole duration and that the boosted auto didnt slow movement, makes it useless when chasing.

also i'd use fly over fire spin for a few reasons.... 1 being that fly can save you and give you much greater map coverage/pressure. also fire spin looks buggy af and even in this game it didnt do damage to the enemy team like 2/3 times? maybe more??? its slow and yes its fine damage when it WORKS but fly just seems more oppressive

Ho-Oh's passive, boosted autos, and fire spin give shields/healing based on HP stat, while flamethrower and sky attack heal based on attack Stat. I would choose what you stack based on what moves you like. It's also worth noting that Ho-Oh's base stats are so good, you might get great value without stacking. Float stone is great with Fly, Cursed Bangle is great with Ho-Oh's auto attacks and Sky Attack, Resonant Guard is excellent at keeping yourself and your allies alive and gives a bunch of HP, Focus Band is excellent on any tank, Buddy Barrier works great with your big health pool and keeps that one guy on your team who you don't have to revive up, and XP share can help you funnel that lane Gengar/Garchomp into something useful. Personally I use XP Share, Resonant Guard, and Focus Band with Fly/Flamethrower. It gives a lot of survivability and allows me to chase squishies out of the fight so my team can clean up

huge disagree but i think you just worded it strangely I think reviving one pokemon when all they can do is farm is really silly.. because its a waste unless they're needed to take rotom, join a big fight, etc etc. ESPECIALLY if their whole team just KO'd them, they would just go right back unless they're busy doing other things, so essentially, you'd just be bringing him back to farm.. again this can be fine for a team fight or taking top or bottom lanes pokemon but yeah. its really situational like if you're in a big team fight but you're chillin on HP and know you won't get ganked or CC'd then its probably better to wait until u have 3 or 4 dead to revive imo but it is what it is i guess :P i didnt realize it cost aeos energy lol nvm
