KTM JR-E Shinkansen Series E4 "MAX" (HO scale 1/87 16.5mm)
A prototype is Shinkansen EMU for Tohoku and Joetsu Shinkansen.
The most characteristic point is that it was built for commuter shinkansen around Tokyo area.
When it started service, JR was developing a residential area like Honjo-Waseda or Nasu-Shiobara.
To meet commuting demand, it was also built as bi-level for enhancing transportation capacity.
You couldn't see but folding chairs were equipped in a deck.
The livery was changed in 2014 as this model when it was rebuilt.
A pink is called as "Pale Gentle Pink" and it expresses Japanese crested ibis(called "Toki" in Japanese) because it's s prefecture bird in Nigata.
