Great update Wade - I love the idea of your crews actually dying on the line, that really enhances the experience for your operators!

Looking good Wade! 4937 turned out amazing! Glad you had fun at Springfield! It truly is an amazing show; I wasn't able to make it down this time around, but i plan on going back next year. It really is an awesome show; can spend a lot of money real fast if you're not careful...lol

Thanks man! Yeah, that show is awesome! I was lucky to get out of there with a little bit of money left haha.

We always cross that bridge on 90. Pretty close to the massive Selkirk yard there.

@SilverCreekSub That bridge is part of what was once the Boston & Albany RR as you were heading west you were headed towards Selkirk yard. Underneath you was Amtrak's Empire Division, a busy corridor with 20ish trains a day. This was once part of the New York Central water level route to NYC and all the famous trains like the 20th Century, Knickerbocker, Pacemaker just to name a few.

That bridge over the Hudson is absolutely amazing! Every time I go hope to actually see a train on it. But never any luck.
@SilverCreekSub9 күн бұрын
It really is!! On the way back there was a CSX train just on the other side, if we were 10 minutes later we might have seen it on the bridge, you Americans have awesome infrastructure!! Everything is so big!

@@SilverCreekSubDon't slight yourselves... I've been to Paris, Ontario and seen that massive bridge. Lol

On the crossing wiring for the sensors. Ive done a few and found if you move the two inside or "island circuits" about 50 scale ft away from the crossing. It will give you that pull up and trigger the crossing/wait 20 seconds without being ontop of the crossing.

I agree! I will have a chat with the fellow that installed them, but this was just a quick test for the first one

guys... thank you for sharing such excellent work !!! any chance of turning down the volume a bit when describing highlights of each engine ? for example, when discussing CN 4937 it was tough to hear you, then you went into the signals ( 14:04) and you came through loud and clear , as usual when volumes are down. please don't be mad.... i feel like i miss a lot when engines are roaring in the background.
@SilverCreekSub9 күн бұрын
No worries, I noticed that too when I watched after it was posted, i usually do voice overs for that reason, but I was tight on time. I will make sure that doesn’t happen next time, my apologies
@dennisarmes34738 күн бұрын
@@SilverCreekSub SCS... please, you do not need to apologize !!! your work is the best around... actually, i owe you a cold beer as i am laid up now after 2 surgeries in 3 months, which has made me think about things. your work actually gets to folks who have it much worse that me, and i am sure shut-ins, the handicapped/challenged, and not too mobile elderly, and the like, just love your updates. you are to be congratulated for reaching out to those folks ( which i am not.... i am really quite healthy and blessed with my retired position in life right now) and making their day just a bit brighter !!! both blessings and cold molsons to you and the club !!!

That bridge is something else to go over. Lots of guys has superstitions about it and will hold short of the bridge to go one at a time. The swaying that high up was a unnerving every time I went over it

Hi you guys have done a great job on the layout I'm doing HO Montana rail link. My layout is out in the garage 18x15 the year is from 1987 throw 2020. But I have a question to ask you are you on a block system so if you have a short the layout you can run on the rest of the layout. My name is Neil schwerdt in west valley city Utah 😊
@SilverCreekSub9 күн бұрын
Hey Neil, thanks for the kind words, yes we run on a block system, we have 20 circuit breakers that the layout is dived up into, so if there is a short it only effects that block.
