This layout is a beautiful giant. And, Illinois Central Gulf engines - yeah! You never see that on model railroads. Tree-lined towns with brush and greenery flanking the tracks invokes a positive feeling about the whole thing.

Model railroader's dream: own building, massive, permanent, multilevel layout. Great layout and excellent video.

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. Yeah this is a dream layout, lots of man hours by a lot of people building and working on it since 2006.

Another great video on the CIRC especially while I'm having my morning cup of coffee. To be honest I was hoping to see that impressive ICG grain train run..Thanks for including it. After 60 years in the hobby I' m still like a kid in a candy shop when it comes to the hobby. LOL

Nice! Man my dream, and I'm sure everyone else's is to have something this big. And detailed, too, but I don't have the patience for that.

Thanks! This is a club, so maybe find one in your area and you can be a part of a big layout too.

I do know a club in my area, the CRGMRR club (Columbia Gorge Model Railroad club) in Portland, Oregon. I've been there before, and it's a HUGE layout, for sure, it's HO scale as well. When I was there, I wasn't and am not a member, and they let me run an Amtrak, which was cool, I ran it around maybe half of the layout.

I love the KCE! I was wondering? Is it possible that sometime, when you get time,you might could go over the roster,and tell us who the mfg is of each loco,and what ya did to modify them? That would be interesring,as for me? Ya don't have too? Just asking! Great video

I'm not sure what brand it is, I think it's a Rail Power shell and chassis with Athearn drive in it, but the model is a G.E. B40-8.

nice, do you collect BNSF GEVOs?
@RailfanJason7 жыл бұрын
Just one, an Intermountain ES44DC. I'm a UP guy though, so I don't have a lot of BNSF.
@tyhik93387 жыл бұрын
Railfan Jason for me, BNSF GEVOs are the big dogs on the rails
@TrainsNStuff7 жыл бұрын
I feel like you should collect some KCS GE's and EMD's, because I see you railfan the KCS a lot in your videos. I model NS and CSX, but right now I only have one GEVO (Intermountain NS ES40DC, no. 7517) and it's a good one. I'd love to get a CSX SD40-3 or an NS SD40-2 by Scaletrains, but the DCC and sound ones are sold out.

One of the spots I go railfaning is on the BNSF Transcon east of Kansas City, MO. Id say 80% of the power seen there are Dash 9s and GEVOs hauling a never ending parade of intermodals.

I have a consist of KCS power, an AC4400 in the belle scheme and a gray SD70MAC. Neither have sound, and I have been thinking the same, I may preorder a ScaleTrains CSX SD40-3 featuring that ugly "Sponge Bob" cab. I have two Tier4 UP GEVOs on preorder that should be coming in September.
