I just found your channel and I am now binge watching all of your videos. It’s perfect timing for me as I am in the hospital. Your presentation and information is simply awesome sir. Thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge with the rest of us. When in 1974 I was 16 years old, and a local hobby store was going out of business. They were selling all of their HO equipment for $.10 on the dollar. I had $600 in savings and beg my father to let me spend it to he agreed. We loaded up an entire station wagon. I still have all that equipment to this day.

Hey Chris! Another great video! I have a video suggestion. My family and I are looking to build a tool box for our HO slot cars. We have Mega G+ cars on an AFX track. We also have some Auto World and Viper cars and a Difalco controller on the way! I'm sure we will get other cars, too, as we get back into the hobby and start racing. If you could do a video going through your favorite tools and supplies with sizes, brands, etc., that would be really useful to us! We are trying to speed up our HO racing learning curve and get some Christmas shopping done! Thanks in advance!

Interesting, where did you have the volt meter hooked up? I would have like to see the voltage on the meter taken at the same spot on the track where you had the cube. You will lose voltage along the rails. Thanks Chris, I figured the Pro 7 magnets would work with a stock arm, not sure about the Pro 10 magnets though. The motor magnets in the TJets do give some traction, specially the upgraded magnets.
@Blueridgeracing85910 ай бұрын
I had the meter probes right at the joint of the piece of track that the cube was on. Those were the pro 10 magnets in the woody.

@@Blueridgeracing859 Good to know, I have a pair of Pro 10s for the Magnatraction cars but I felt they were a little to strong, the Pro 7 is the sweet spot for me.

Chris , i would bet that cube never did read a correct voltage...you could have just alligator cliped on the leads from a multimeter from harbor friegjt for 2 bucks and saved a penny or two..lol..... Also you are the true connisouir of all cars , i couldn't stand the look of woodies .. our minister restored an old one when i was in 5th grade.. my mom and dad said he put more time and effort into his cars than the congregation. Funny huh

Hey Chris, love your videos. Could you expand on how you use 2 terminal tracks and how you hook them up. And why you do this? Is it just put 2 terminal tracks on and 2 wall plugs? (I know you use AW adjustable but that’s the question)
@Blueridgeracing8598 ай бұрын
Yes you saw the setup correctly. That is to give individual power to each lane when racing.

Hey this switch call I was just wondering that if you could make a diagram of your layout for your track my name is but it's Butch Cole
@Blueridgeracing85910 ай бұрын
Yes sure or you can go to afxracing.com and look at the 4x8 layout for the giant raceway. It should be there.

What are the 2 black rectangular boxes with the dial on them? They're hooked up to the track on the left hand side of the thumbnail photo for this video. Just wondering. I thought you talked about them in a video but i cant find it. Thanks Chris.
@Blueridgeracing8599 ай бұрын
Those are the adjustable transformers for the track. They are from Auto World and adjust from 9 - 24 vdc.

Hi Chris-I have the same AFX Giant raceway, also purchased 2 AW transformers and just purchased the DeFalco DD505,I need to know how to make the hook-up panel in order to use the controller, can you give instructions how to build one-I have both 6-32 and 8-32 screws but it seems that the ring terminal (4-6 stud,22-16)is too small for 8-32 but fits the 6-32,but don't understand how make this panel and how to attach the alligator clips on the screws since it won't stay on the head of the screw, all I have is your video showing the completed panel attached to your track and trying to copy what I see!-as you can see I am not an electrician and have tried to find a way to contact you via email but can't find an address-thank you for your videos and time-
@Blueridgeracing8599 ай бұрын
Hi Jay, sure will. Take a small Bloch of wood and drill 2 holes in it. Put screws thru holes with heads on bottom and attach with washer and nut. The alligator clips should attach to the threaded part of the screw easily. I’m going to run some cars today and will try to add that to video.
@jaybloom48619 ай бұрын
Thanks for your reply Chris-can you tell me what size screw to use(6/32 or 8/32 or any other size?), and length of screw to use(1,2,3 inch?) with the block of wood and what size ring terminals to use,I purchased 4-6 stud,22-16 and they fit on 6/32 but too small for 8/32) I guess there is no place to purchase this already made, I'd gladly pay to have it built!!!@@Blueridgeracing859
@Blueridgeracing8599 ай бұрын
@@jaybloom4861 Jay, don’t know the sizes. I just grabbed a screw,nut,washer that my ring terminal fit around. I did use a ring terminal that was appropriate for the stripped wire on the plug end.
