ah but one party laws only apply when you are not actively being recorded, so if she has a home security system you can in fact record them in their home in a 2 party consent state like fl lol, if at anytime they agree to being recorded they agree to all recordings, int he store, at a traffic light, in your home, if there are security cams and you havent protested their use then you give consent by default...

Honestly, she sounds like a controlling Karen if she hates op for taking the house she somehow expected to buy off op's aunt without communication. And all in efforts to get her son to live literally right next to her when he's made it clear that he doesn't want to move back. Another reason I say this is because she's abusing her position to constantly harass op and try to make him leave. So she can have the house despite the fact that her son doesn't want to move back. But of course, when do people like her actually listen to their kid. Oh yeah, HOA Karen definitely complained to her husband about op. More than likely with her delusions and lies. To be honest, the niece is right. Op, you need her as she can the info you need to bring HOA Karen down a peg and expose her. Called it, HOA Karen is delusional as she is entitled. So of course she has her own insane narrative about op. Typical that she's also pissed that everyone else loves op and doesn't see what she believes she sees. And talk about vile to say that about op's aunt and stupidity to think that she could get the house once she was dead. Bro, that niece is SMART and AWESOME for recording all of that. People like her aren't adults, their entitled brats in an adult body. In their mind "it's how dare you not give me what I want or let me have my way?" Then get insanely petty, are delusional and basically insane overall. Op, never try to talk to people like their adults because their not. What you do is use the recording and put her on blast to everyone. There you go op, that's how you do it. Expose her with the recording and public confrontation. That way she's exposed and can't do anything to you plus will face consequences. Typical that she tried to save herself, in a stupid way at that, by getting mad at op for being recorded then upset at getting shutdown by everyone. If her husband is as bad as her, op should be prepared for a confrontation from him and her. And I'm not surprised that the board members didn't know about the fines nor her attempt to up the fine cost on op. People like her screw their own lives up just because they can't stand the fact that they didn't get what they wanted.

Are there any good reasons to have a HOA? Why would anyone buy a house just to have a group of people tell them what they can do with it? That's crazy. Being petty and abusing your power for selfish gains never works out. Poor Brenda.
