The MOMENT a HOA tries to tell you to do ANYTHING or bill/fine you ANY AMOUNT and you're not a member, CONTACT YOUR LAWYER. It's harrasment and extortion at the very least, HOAs and Karens DOSEN'T DESERVE ANY MERCY.

About cleaning bathrooms reminded me of a guy I know that worked in a Brazilian equivalent of a McDonalds or BK, the bathrooms were cleaned hourly but customers were geniuses to make horrid messes in such a small amount of time - not for the weak too

I always doubt a HOA story that ends with, 'and then the HOA disbanded. It's not that easy; especially if there is communal property or infrastructure owned or maintained by an HOA. Someone has to take ownership and maintain anything shared.

It's possible. My neighbors and I dissolved one in 1993, took all of 3 months after the vote to divide/sell common areas & Sending the checks out to owners. Working things out with the state, county & city took another couple of months. I actually regret selling the place but I had a good offer in another part of the state I only a fool would pass up

As to the first story the h o a aka horrible obnoxious a hole board should go to jail for fraud and extortion. Ad to the nut that put a bad review on Yelp about the watch store op should put the truth on Yelp so other people would know. As to the last story with friends like that who needs enemies.
