A visual reference for what exactly? What's important is your positioning relative to him and obviously you have to look at him to know that. Depending on where you are around him he can do different attacks. There are only a few attacks that are really dangerous and those won't happen with good positioning (like p2 uppercut f.ex) Edit: I also have a NG+7 version which is a lot cleaner: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bJfaeZ2kZaupZpY it's not so easy to find because godfrey's name isn't anywhere in the title

Incredible kill! I was grinding the start of the game with nothing but +0 Club the other day, but this looks so hard, even with talismans, damn

No talismans cuts your damage by about half (for max ng Morgott it was 181 per CR2 to 99 per CR2). Club is fairly good against him, 3 CR2s and a jump r2 to stagger iirc, and you can CR2 the same openings, at least in p1 (I didn't test much in p2) if you can jump or roll after. Definitely a tough kill, insane if you're going for no roll on top. Good luck

@@mouseinatutu I got Margit already but it wasn't no roll. You are correct about his poise values. The biggest thing I learned was delaying his p1 so you could get a shorter p2. You can also get safe cr2 after a riposte in p1, so you can translate that into a potential stagger right as he enters p2, after dodging the hammer jump (which has a horrible hitbox). I honestly only punished the jump and the attack where he runs in and raises his staff in p2. Everything else felt super risky.

You can technically loop both phase 1.2 and 2.2 transitions, so yes. For 1.2 he'll just keep dashing and for 2.2 you just run around him in a circle and he'll try to face you to start it. Without cheesing him it would not be possible though, unless there's a high jumping R2 out there somewhere. The AoE stomps are just far too big.

I didn't do Fire Giant, Duo, Maliketh or Gideon no roll yet, only beat them regular lvl 1 because I wanted to fight Godfrey, but every other boss I've beaten has been with these restrictions.
