I totally agree! I raised 4 children and worked full time and I never had a bathroom that dirty! Far too many products in there I my opinion. Clear out what isn’t being used and stop buying as many things to go in there.

I was overwhelmed by the clutter in my house, so I followed your tip on just decluttering one day and deep cleaning on another day. Last week I decluttered and organized evrything. Helena Bergstrom Hmmm. I also suffer from bad depression, but my home is very clean. I refuse to live in a dirty and cluttered home. Having a dirty home makes my depression worse. A lot of people I know who have depression have clean homes.

Helena Bergstrom Yea, it’s definitely not fun to have depression. It’s a dark lonely place to be. My Uncle took his life due to depression. I thankfully have never had those thoughts. I just withdrawal, but I am on medicine so it helps. And my parents are very supportive so that helps a ton.

Barb Kartz I cleaned up my place over the last 3weeks on my days off work the first day I would do about 6 to 10 hours of cleaning and sorting nd getting rid of things. Or donating em or finding a new home for em. It felt great doing the work. I wasn’t even overwhelmed I’m just like fuck me i have a lot of crap that I no longer need. Bye bye it went. Just a few things left to go though nd reorganize but I need the right kinda shelves nd dressers as I’ve never actually brought one for my place I have like 2 old small ones nd 1 bigger one . So true. Especially if we don't have everything organized in its own space. If we don't know where to put it, we leave it where it is. Sometimes we throw things into boxes but when we need something, we empty the box to look for it, and we leave it where it is. It's neverending.

Agree. Depression annihilates your energy & motivation. Cleaning is not on the agenda when it's a mountain to climb just to get out of bed. I know my mood is spiralling when my tidy home gets messy. That & a sudden onset short fuse over silly stuff are my 2 red flags.

I clean houses and my best advice... I keep a bucket with hot water and product (pinesol) and about 10-15 washclothes. Use and throw in a pile. That way the water doesn't get dirty and you don't waist time rinsing out washclothes. I also keep a toothbrush and magic eraser in the bucket.

That's right: Organize it so you know what you have, and don't buy any more until you don't have much left. Use it up, and control your spending. So much control is needed! What this is is just saying to yourself: "I will take control. I AM in control of my stuff, not my stuff controlling me." It needs to become a mantra, methinks. I AM IN CONTROL. : ) W, 03/04/2020

When you go on vacation look at how many cosmetics you will need to take. That's the stuff you need. With very few exceptions. Box up "everything" else and keep for a few months. Just to see if you need any of it and then throw it out. I know you paid a lot for it. But the space you get in return is worth more that gold.

You are so right on about that. After my Dad died, My Mother rand I did a deep cleaning. He had his own room that he liked to Hang Out It. Like a Man's Den He had so much old school stuff. Mismatched Socks. Old T Shirts and the like. We gave it a good cleaning and gave hi to The Salvation Army Now we use it as a Guest Room, but we give it a Good Cleaning Once a Week. I feel that the Bathroom is next to the Kitchen are Two parts of a House that get the also got rid of alot of stuff in The Bathroom. Old Makeup and so many other Med Products.

Agree wholeheartedly. The excessive products we all buy and never use and al that plastic!!!! Ugh. I struggled with my own demons- no hate. Awareness is key and determination to change. I don't think we see the grip corporate advertising greed gas on our psyche and compels us to mindlessly consume. Facial creams and washes have expiration periods on them. Most of them are around 12 months, not 6. Just FYI. Thats those little recycling ♻️ like symbol with a number in the center in case any of y'all didn't know:)

Wow, wow, wow! You are such a blessing. One PSA, I know you don’t like gloves, but magic erasers have some chemicals that are absorbed via the skin, so consider adding gloves for using them. I am in the middle of getting got this at my house, but please let the client know that she needs to take out the grout at the row of her tiles on the backsplash and add a water resistant caulk. Water is getting splashed behind the vanity.

Sally May, As I was watching the video that was my first thought, the two areas in my home that must remain clean and organized are the kitchen and bathrooms, and because I live in Arizona where dust is always an issue I keep my counters clear except for decorator items, that way I can wipe down my counters daily without having to move much.

Today I was browsing KZbin looking for videos that would motivate me to clean my long neglected bathroom. I even prayed about it bc the mere thought of it was overwhelming. Then I came across your “cleaning and organizing a hoarders bathroom” video. It was just the boost I needed to start! I lost my son just before Christmas 2020, and cleaning has been the LAST thing on my mind. But, today I PROMISED myself I’d do it even if it took all day! I'm with you Cambriea. I keep my kitchen and bath counters clear and my bedroom dresser top. You are much more likely to keep things clean. That is a huge bathroom, there should not be a "space" issue. There is a too much stuff issue.

Yes, too much stuff. No way that most of those products can be used up within six months. I only buy replacement when it’s almost empty. Expiration dates are printed on items for a reason.

I was surprised that you do this for free. You are such a blessing to people. I was watching for inspiration and motivation to clean some areas in my own house. I get overwhelmed on my days off and sometimes actually need time off. I work a lot of hours. People have a hard time for many reasons. I have had many health issues, demands on my life for grandchildren, am trying to get ceilings stripped and walls painted. I don't want to be judged by anyone when my home is cluttered. I am only one person and don't have enough hours in the day to do everything so I pick the most important at the time. Thank you for giving me inspiration and showing me how to get started.

You always do such as wonderful job. However as a mom owning a tub like that i can only imagine what's in those jets 😬😬. I thoroughly clean my whirlpool once a month with powdered Cascade and wipe it down daily when my toddler gets out. They get so dirty so fast I can NOT wait to throw mine out the door!!! I absolutely loathe those tubs because I have to clean it every single day. I feel for that momma.

Please could you share your cleaning technique? Like, how much Cascade do you use, and how long do you run the jets? I could really use help, no matter what I do I feel like my whirlpool jets still aren't quite clean. Thanks so much!

@@robynwatt8639 Fill the tub with HOT water make sure the water is covering the jets completely. Add 1/4 cup powdered dishwasher detergent I use Cascade. Turn the jets on let them run at least 15 minutes ill do this then clean the rest of the bathroom. Turn them off, drain, and rinse the tub then refill. Run the jets again for another 10 minutes or so to make sure you get all the detergent from the lines. Drain, wipe the tub and your done. The next time you fill the tub you will notice a big difference in the clarity of the water!! 😊😊

You can see where this homeowner made an attempt to organize and decorate her bathroom at some point. After seeing all of the clothes and trash strewn all over the bathroom I was surprised to see how orderly the cabinets and drawers were - I expected to see much more of a mess. The walls are painted a pretty color, the shower curtain is nice. It's sad how she went from taking care of her place to literally dropping trash and dirty clothes everywhere. Depression is a terrible thing. You are wonderful to help her like that.

You do such a good job, helping others, it's inspiring. You've inspired me to do a better job as a SAHM. I do suffer mildly from ADD and asthma, but I'm trying to do more chores since starting seeing your video's. It sure has helped that I deleted the games on my phone. They were distracting me too much. Now I try to relax in other ways, knitting while listening some music for example. Or just watching our toddler girl playing, just being the cutest. My main issue with keeping everything organised in my house is that we have too little good storage possibilities and cupboards where I can store things in a neat, best way for those items. (If this makes sense!) So I'm always going through things again and again and again, as long as I feel that they are not good enough for me. The other thing is that my husband, teenage sons and stepdaughter put things away in the wrong places, so in a matter of 2 weeks at the most, the things I have organised, are in disarray again. It's very frustrating. I've come to the point where I'm about to put labels in closets and drawers so they know what to put where! But maybe that's even the best way to learn them! Thanks for inspiring so many!!!

This is the very first video I’ve seen of yours and I’m already in love with your heart and your kindness. Hoarding is a mental illness and a lot of people don’t know this and you’re such a hero for helping so many different families to overcome it. This is a channel that DESERVES to have millions of subscribers. Yes, you’re content is entertaining but it’s also inspiring and eye opening to many people.

I admire what you do . A lot of people deal with mental illnesses that are enabling them to do cleaning and organizing . Some people just don’t know where to begin . When they have a mess around the house , it’s easier just to say I’ll get to it and it’s easy to get discouraged . I think videos like these can show that everyone can do this and have that encouragement they need to start someplace . Step by step talk as to how you do it and what you use might help a lot of people at least start . Bless you.
