A lot of boomers are left with so much stuff our parents just had to have, or either just our own things we kept for sentimental reasons. On a job like this in which the finds are pure gravy, I would do things so differently. All those boxes...pull out the obvious no value items, condense the rest and take them off site for sorting. There is zero investment here that needs to be recouped in a hurry. That stuff has been sitting for decades and it won't hurt it to sit awhile and be sorted and auctioned when things are slow to keep cash flow going. Clothing would be gathered in a central location on site, premium items pulled out of each armload/bag/box for auction and for the rest I'd call a few vintage clothing stores and take the best offer for the lot, all or nothing and you have two days to remove it. Books are too heavy for me to handle efficiently so they'd all be donated. If I was feeling particularly generous I might pull kids books for donation to shelters or housing for battered women. If there's a big enough load Salvation army and Goodwill in my area will pick up.
