Well then! That was exciting 😃 A thought: school is about to start, and notice very little is missing from the ‘summer fun’ bin. That might be something to take note of for (a) not buying more stuff in that category, kids are usually happy just playing with friends, or electronics or just being outside, and (2) a good bit of it could be regifted or go to food bank bin. I hope when the time comes you are able to resist temptation and first go to the things you can make or give from stash for gifts! You have nice stuff plus you make nice stuff.

For the money, since it's a son's birthday money, perhaps save it for his birthday next year to go to a fun "expensive" activity place like trampoline park or legoland party or something. Craft bin organizing & wreath making looks like a good next step now that you know where a lot of supplies are. Good job on the trash pile.

Mz Stitcher I agree. It is her sons birthday money so it should be spent on him or saved until his next birthday or put into his bank account

Back to school is money spend for him. I did that all the time with my kids birthday money - I spend it where it was needed at this moment. ♥

Joy M respectfully I have to disagree with you. It is a parents responsibility to cover back to school costs. The money wasn’t gifted to the parent, it was gifted to the son. If the child wants an upgrade on a lunchbox or backpack then it’s the child’s to choice. In this case she has two sons, if his money was spent on back to school what happens to the other son? Does he miss out on supplies or does he get some of the supplies and a gift at his bday?

@@Myaussiebackyard I´m a single mom and my parents always told me to buy what the kids need. So the money was spend on shoes, clothes, school suplies .. There are always enough toys .. =) But it´s ok to disagree. It´s every familiy´s choice. (And I didn´t spend all the money - they always got some to spend on what they want.) Have a nice day!

H❤️, I believe in you as far as a final decluttering of crafts and organizing everything. Two things need to happen: 1. Keep up, as able, decluttering like you have with everything else. You’ll be emotionally ready for it soon. 2. There needs to be a home created for everything of value worth keeping. The more it works well for you, the more likely you will be to use what you have, enjoy crafting and even enjoy tidying and cleaning it up. You’ve been blessed with many ideas to ponder as far as where to organize everything. In my opinion, the best solution is the one that works for you. Regardless of what you choose, saving/investing in organization that works well for you that you love will bring you back to productive time. I’m seriously considering the Dreambox at theoriginalscrapbox.com for myself. I’m looking forward to seeing what works for you! If you have a challenge considering how to store things, consider the ways things are stored in stores as a starter idea. KZbin has so many ideas 💡 too!

Awesome job!!! Would it be possible to make a corner in the basement for the sewing items, so that the floor there is clear? I ask because, when I have a clear space, I absolutely do not want to mess it up! But if there is something else already there, I tend to throw another thing on top. :(

I’m a visual person, so if I can see it, I’m much more likely to use it! That’s the theme of my organization style. What will help me “see what I have best”. That’s what inspires my layout ideas 💡, seeing what I have. Do you know what inspires your creativity? The best way to organize by far is your way! These are great days for dreaming. Great idea 💡! When you’re going through each zone, and are committed to “finishing/doing a project”, put each project in a large Ziplock bag. Label 🏷 it with a sticky note 📝 who each gift is for. Maybe make a Master List. Consider the time you’re able to commit to each wonderful idea 💡, and take a double look at the list to make sure that’s how you want to spend your time the most. I think when it’s time it will be so much fun to do each idea! I think 💭 your heart will always want to do more than you’re able because you’re such a giving, thoughtful and kind person. I can’t wait for you to have your things in order for yourself and your family. You will be set up for successful moments and dreams to come true!

Jade McArthur when you have anxiety, it can be hard to remember just regular ol excitement can feel pretty much the same. That’s why it’s good to take a moment and use some anxiety tools (breathing, etc) and ride it out. Allows you to recognize excitement/adrenaline, and strengthens your ability to push through actual anxiety episodes. Really helpful point for you to bring up!

It helps to keep anxiety further away by taking some time to respect and honor your personal choices and let the good sink in deeply. If there are any regrets, learn about that. Is it a hoarding tendency, or a reason other than that which you value? I think what I’ve learned from you is starting to come around. 😉. Thanks for helping me become a better me.

Wow, Well done. A tip, just do like the kon Mari and things sentimental don’t try to make a decision just put them together somewhere and continue on. Each decision for things drains enough energy on its own without mixing in sentimental things that drains even more as it require longer time to try and decide. Whether you are a hoarder or not decision-making drains bit by bit and eventually overwhelm sets in. Though for a non-hoarder it might not be exactly panic but can also include just tossing away stuff without thought to just be Done. Not good.

I really like this thought!!! Some things are easy to sort, others are medium hard, and others are simply hard. All your fine tuning is creating your home if your dreams. I have lots to sort through from moving, so I break it down into Stages. STAGE 1: Declutter what’s easy and a little bit hard. Trash, easy things to donate leave in this stage. Things also get sorted like with like. STAGE 2: Some challenges are faced. Fine tuning definitions of keep/donate/toss, etc. STAGE 3: Time for the hard sentimental things. Fine tune definitions, etc. Seeking peace, joy, “enough”, etc.

@@ahoardersheart No, not easy I struggle with what to keep when it comes to my kids papers and books. And the desire to preserve something for them. My mom didn't keep many of my books and it bothered me. Because I have always loved to read.

Put things you are not sure about in a box in your basement. If you haven't used anything from the box in 6 months to a year, throw out the whole box without going thru it again.

Was going to say you could use those fake flowers/picks? For wreaths. What about making Christmas cards etc with your hoarded crafts? Or maybe making a Christmas thing and doing a giveaway to the subscribers?

Hint: Pick a light yellow you like on a bright sunny day AND on a gray icky dark day. We painted our bedroom a very light yellow and after a while it looks like a drab beige. The color swatch is accurate with usually 2 coats. I also found out you can ask the mixers to go "up" or "down" a "step" in color like in-between the 2 close samples.

Could be a hint from someone else, but you could place your kids school items from say 1st grade in their 1st grade backpack for storage and memories.

I hope you put that painting up somewhere! Just pick a place and you'll start getting better at placement as you go. :) Why not put the chore chart above the coat hooks? Google "command centre" and it could give you ideas for sorting things that come in, too. Like maybe a recycling spot for mail so it doesn't even get set down? Keep up the hard work! I'm deeply impressed!

That sparkly pink top.. the reason why you really don't want to get rid of it even though it doesn't fit you and probably won't wear it again, is because you've had it for a long time so it feels like an old friend, and you have strong memories and attachment to it. But of course you already know that. I just wanted to draw your attention to it. Take a step back and draw your attention to the logic of it. Is it worth the space that it will take up in your home? Along with everything else? Will you keep it forever, never wearing it?

This kind of stuff is the stuff that is super challenging for people like us. But I think you know deep down what you should do with it. I find what helps me is taking a step back and thinking of someone else wearing it often, enjoying it, truly using it. Then imagine it just sitting gathering dust tucked away in some dark corner of your wardrobe, forever, wasted.

You are 100% right!!! The longer I’ve had the item...the harder it is to let go ♥️ The sentimental attachment to it is strong bc it represents so much to me!! As I get stronger in decision making, start detaching myself to my things....all your logical questions will become more clearer and I’ll know what to do ♥️🤗 I appreciate you writing me this kind understanding message 🙏🏻🧡

I am just wondering going through all your videos.. do you buy backpacks for every year? Or for every activity? Is this what people do in US? We had packpacks among our friends and family for years, basically for as long as it was usable and fit the stuff from your school. And you used your backpack or some sort of general gym bag for everything then. I cannot fathom why would people need a new backpack for every year for sth else than flexing their wealth. It is such a waste of money and resources...

Ok - so don't throw out the painting - tag sale it! Someone who loves Paris and Modern art will love it 💙 AND you blew me away with the basket of fabric and sewing machine 😁 We have got to set you up a crafting room - and you know what?!? RIGHT THERE ON THAT WALL! WHY NOT??? Built in shelves with cubbies and a fold out desk top to do crafts and sewing - it's so bright and it would fit. Put utility shelves up in the basement instead for storage. Do you really want to do crafts in the unfinished basement or the nice newly painted room you worked so hard to clean out?!? I would give that gift to myself 😆😍🤔💜
