I’m getting a lot of messages of putting the bathroom cleaning supplies in the bathroom...and you’re absolutely right! When I was putting the supplies back in I thought, “I really should Declutter the bathroom under the sink cabinet so I can put it there! “ That’s another episode because it’s hoarded too 😅😅😅

For cleaning: I learned from Melissa (KZbin "clean my space"). I only use vinegar, soap, baking soda and water for everything now. It's amazing how easy cleaning becomes and how little space is needed for storage.

The other option would be to put it on the right side of the cabinet so it's easy to pull it out and put it back. Where you have it currently, I'd be knocking the other bins down trying to get the bathroom bucket out!

One option would be to have a caddy where you have the most basic things you use, so it is then easy to take it from room to room! 😊

@@haten4 i use to stick two small buckets inside each other. Then put my cleaning things in the bucket. upstairs oror inthe room i was working in i would use the second one with some water. the buckets nested taking little space for storing.when not in use. the buckets were abit deeper thenmost caddies so less tiping out of items.

If you organize your space, watch if you have an easy access to the things. For example the blue big bin, you can not get to it easily because there is another bin in front of it. You can be very proud of your transformation!

Something to consider while organising is: which things are you going to reach for most often? And then put those things in the place that is reached the easiest. For example, the dishwashing pods will be used almost every day, so perhaps put those in the middle instead of on the side.

I am so proud of you that you do not only declutter but also put your organization system in place. And it safe money to finally find and use the hoarded stuff like boxes an command hooks. It will also help your men in the house. 💝

Way to go! Much improved. A suggestion from me? I've learned that if I want my organized spaces to work, items need to be easily accessible and easy to maintain. You may have a tough time accessing the heavy turquoise bucket. It might be better to put the bathroom cleaner in the bathroom, remove the black wire shelf and move the heavier turquoise bucket on the floor near to your door. (I have to be careful about "stacking" items as that is a hoarding trigger for me).

This was really satisfying to watch! My #1 favorite cleaning supply is cleaning vinegar. It's regular white vinegar with more acetic acid. It's natural and safe, but it does an excellent job for everything. I put it in the dishwasher to get the lime/calcium build-up, I put it in the washing machine to disinfect and clean clothes, I mix it with dish soap to wash my shower/bathtub/sinks. I absolutely love it.

You are right -- organized is a lot less Anxiety causing. Looking at your before and after photos, you do see the peacefulness of the after and the chaos of the before. Keep it up. You are doing so well. I like that you are on your own journey and not on someone else's timetable or rules -- that example gives "permission" for each viewer to do what they can as they can without condemnation.

For a more ecofriendly cleaning, I always go for well known multi purpose products like vinegar, baking soda, bar soap (liquid soap is mostly water anyway), with really few ingredients be careful with essential oil if you want to make your own products, most times it can be harmful for pets or sensitive skins, or useless when used the wrong way and don't forget that the most ecofriendly thing you can do is always using what you have first, so i would recommend using up the majority of your products before transitioning to different products, as you still have quite a collection here :) When you'll be ready to transition, I think you could ask or watch Erica Lucas' videos about it, as she mentioned various products accessible to you in the US The kitchen is looking really good tho ! and yes, it was full in those cabinets, but following you for several years now, I was expecting more tbh haha You really have come a long way, be proud of your achievement !

I clean everything with a mixtures of 1/3 white vinager + 2/3 water + 20 drops of my favorite essential oil (tale floors, kitchen, bathroom...) except wood. For wood I use a mixture of 1/5 white vinager + 4/5 of water + 2 teaspoon of olive oil + 20 drops of essential oil. Last but not least, for lime I use bicarbonate with a little bit of water, to make paste an leave it for a few minutes before rubbing and rising. I just have 2 sprays with this mixture + a jar with bicarbonate. Since I started using it, I saved a lot of money, plus is eco friendly and don’t need a lot of space to put it, plus the results are amazing. The first product to clean the stovetop is amazing (spray, 5 min, and you don’t even have to rub). As always, amazing job!!!

I use vinegar and water for a lot of cleaning. Baking soda works well. I use rags and wash them. We live in a 2br condo. Before, we lived in a small house. A little dishwasher detergent (no pods) for the dishwasher, liquid detergent, and half the amount of laundry detergent(no pods). 1/2 a pc of a fabric softener sheet. You still have way too much, but you are making great progress. Tina

We did the same. Or, if you have small scraps of the sheet vinyl flooring (the kind where a single piece covers a whole floor), then you can just lay one piece under your sink, no adhesive/sticky stuff needed. My plan is to eventually put everything in tubs, or in rollout shelves, or maybe small tubs with wheels. That way I can just pull a tub forward, get what I need, and then roll it back. My cleaning supplies: Norwex cloths for cleaning and especially for windows. No cleaning products, just water needed. For floors, just vinegar. Scouring powder (Barkeeper's Friend) to keep my stainless steel sink shiny. Seventh Generation products for bathroom cleaners. I think there's real value in keeping cleaning supply stock as simple and pared down as possible. I also try to get nontoxic, environmentally safe products, always.

The best advice I can give you is clean up after yourself, take a minute to put things where they belong, go to bed with a clean sink, don’t mess up what you’ve already organized and keep those wonderful boys in the loop. It’s ok to give them chores, if fact it gives them character and builds confidence. Keep up the good work!

omg the joy of label makers, it's so good! maybe you have a gift card that you can use towards a labeler of your own :D it looks pinterest perfect under that sink now! fwiw I think most people's under the sink looks like your "before" cabinet 😂when we moved into our apartment we inherited a lot of old cleaning products from previous tenants, it took me awhile to use it up or toss it out. also I LOVE the positive self-talk in this episode. of course you ARE organized because you have BEEN organizing for years! I love the idea of replacing the "I can't / I'm not"'s with "I am learning to... / I can practice..." it's not even about "being" one way or another way, it's just about your behavior - "I can figure out how to arrange like items together." "I can reuse what I already have to make my home beautiful." And you know you can do those behaviors because you've already got tons of practice!

Perhaps in the spirit of using up what you have, make an anti shopping list. So look through the cleaning supplies, food, toiletries, gardening fertilizer, weed killers, bug sprays (my garage has a ridiculous number of sprays and bottles, I'm trying to use them up!) etc and figure out that you have 6 tubes of toothpaste and add it to the anti list until you're down to 1-2 spares. You have an entire bottle of windex?, add to anti list until you have an inch left, you have 4 bags of rice, anti list until you're down to your last bag. I just bought an algae killer for the pool...only to find we already had one...but since pool chemicals are not kept all together, and sometimes migrate...I wasn't aware we had one still. (Pool chemicals can't necessarily be kept all together...some are corrosive and others don't do well in humid areas etc. I need to get a better system than what's going on currently though...)

You got me off my tookus. One fertilizer used up (it was basically already used up), moved misc pool things to a box in the garage - labeled, stuck some seeds in the ground (I don't expect them to grow, but it's out of the house!), while planting seeds I found fire ant mounds that needed attending to so fire ant killer applied. I need to go wash the wasp trap to prep it for its last bait refill, then eventually figure out what a certain tool is to put it in paint or pool supplies boxes, I want a better home for the weed whacker spare spools too...like in the garage & not a windowsill... But the big need to do job is dig out the dandelions. Don't ask me how they survived an artic freeze for over a week here...

Great instructional and motivational video! Everything you did was all the tips I wanted to give you. Emptying out packages, using what you have, using containers to store those cleaning bottles to catch any spills, you can store the baking soda in empty clean kraft Parmesean cheese bottle, keep a shopping list on your fridge or any easy accessible place. I think you hoarded all of that cleaning supplies because you wish to have a clean house. A last tip is for you to keep only kitchen cleaning supplies under the kitchen sink.

I usually have a small caddy with products for each space so I don’t have to carry things around and have everything at hand. It’s even more useful as I have neurological problems and carrying things is complicated. At night or when I feel it’s time, I do a spot clean and it’s done in 5-10 minutes. That way it’s done and you can take care of something else and you can give some tlc to another space

for the lining under the sink you may aswell replace the entire shelf. With the tools you have in the garage it should be fairly easy to cut a board to fit under there. as far as i understand it the board is wobbly, came off at some places and has probably started rotting around the pipes. As a bonus you open the space underneath and can check whats down there.

Awesome job! I enjoy your vids. and just started watching. I have watched a few older vids. because that is more of where I'm at now. You give me the inspiration I need. It took me all this weekend to clear and declutter the top of my refrig. and the front. I have a hard time separating toss, put away, and give away and still have a few "up in the air" things to deal with. I can relate to the cleaning products. When I bought my house in "91" a can of furniture polish was left behind by the prior owner. I still have it all these years later (30!!) and still don't want to let it go even though I have better polish. Oh---I like the way you repurpose boxes and bins from other areas before buying anything, especially as storage needs will change over time as decluttering continues. Keep on keeping on! Thank you so much for sharing.

Looks awesome!!! I use vinegar, baking soda, hydrogen peroxide, and dawn. There are resources for the recipes for these natural products.

For eco-friendly cleaning, I mostly use soap and water wherever possible. For sanitizing in the kitchen and most of the house, I use rubbing alcohol sparingly. Rubbing alcohol is also great for getting rid of sticky residue and cleaning glass and mirrors. For bathroom, I still use Lysol, a wood cleaner on our banisters, and a special glass stove top cleaner. We'll work on those eventually. I have stacks of rags cut from old t-shirts that I use for everything from wiping the dining table and cleaning up messes to facial tissues (different colours for faces).

Well done on decluttering and organizing this! If you are planning on using the towel in that place, make sure to be wary of mold forming with a damp cloth in a closed space.

Ohhhhh...I didn’t think of that! Thank you 🙏🏻❤️ I wash the kitchen towels/change them out about once a week...I hope that’s enough to prevent mold
