After starting the engine remove the battery and then set the needle. with full throttle hold the plane nose up and make sure it does not stall. Adjust needle if it does. :-)

I don't know how much flying you've done, but this is exactly what my friend did (who is a full scale pilot) on his first RC flight with no experience or training.

Hello, this is a long shot because you said you were going to burn it, but i have the avistar. 40 rtf kit and I got it second hand and I'm just seeing if you happen to know the measurements of the wing joiner. It's the only thing I need to be able to put it all together. Thanks either way

NEVER tune the engine with the glow driver attached. It changes the tune. That engine sounded too lean on climb.
