For any dude out there watching this, dont gauge your hobbies based off of external validation. Find hobbies that are personally fulfilling to you. Theres nothing wrong with trying to increase your attractiveness but at the end of the day you should be investing in yourself and what makes you happy. There's someone out there that will like you for who you are, and building yourself to represent what others tell you will make you "more attractive" is a hollow path not worth walking. It's a good point and well said. But...picking up a hobby, outside your normal maybe, perhaps one a women could enjoy with you is still a worthwhile endeavor. Romance is a 'WE' thing. Example: I'd never let her put a wrench on my bike. But lots of women, at least in Nevada, like to shoot. And a list as long as my leg more also. None of my hobbies bring me "validation" outside or inside. They are just fun ways to pass spare time, be creative. A hobby WITH HER, still feels like a fun way to pass time. For any Dude reading this, be open to it. One "WE thing" could lead to another. You need to be able to do things together, beyond horizontal bop. It's kinda what the whole LTR thing is about.

Hobbies and interests do make a man more attractive and diverse. If you do get into a relationship don't let the woman take your hobbies from you. Cooking is a good hobby. When I was dating, I was flat broke and could not afford restaurants for dates. When I told the women I was dating, that I could cook for them at my apartment, they all dropped me like a hot stone when I explained my finances. I had one girl who took me up on my offer. We had a very nice chicken dinner with wine, soft music and good conversation. We celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary next year. BTW...my finances have greatly improved since then. That's actually a great filtering technique, because what all those women who dropped you were telling you is thst they are first and foremost looking for a man to foot the bills for a lifestyle they can't afford. And you found that out before wasting any more time and money on them for a first date. Congratulations on your long marriage. It's a shame that the dating market is an even more caustic, degenerate wasteland than it was 25 years ago thanks to the negative impacts of social media, loss of family values and foolish political and legal policies in most western countries.

Here's my two cents: I do believe that people are drawn to the feeling they get when they're in the presence of a passionate personality. I think it has less to do with the actual hobby itself, and more to do with how passionate or even obsessive the other person is about a certain topic. So don't go out there and get a random hobby just to attract people. Because unless you're REALLY passionate it won't count. No? Am I romanticizing it?? I might be...

Passion. Having passion outside of a relationship is AWESOME for both men and women. It shows that when they are focused, dedicated, and absolutely involved in something that they love to do/talk about, it *could* show up in the relationship towards the person they are dating. Plus, it's less pressure on the other person to provide "entertainment". The person is growing, learning, educating themselves, etc. It's just so much of a hot thing. Though of course, there is that balance. If ALL you do is talk about that one thing, then it can get pretty mundane quick. However if it branches out to skills the other person can see (mechanical, electrical, artistry, etc.), then there is that link that can connect to a wider variation of experiences.

I started ballroom and swing dancing over the past year and a half. I have always liked dancing, but was always a bit shy about it when I was younger. Part of that is because people my age at the time really only knew how to club dance and that wasn't my jam. Now I am either training with my coaches or social dancing 3 to 4 times a week. I am meeting tons of people and I really hope to meet a nice girl who shares this passion with me.

Speaking from my own experience, ballroom dancing is a lot of fun indeed. If you continue to get better at it, it will not take long until you are pretty much in the top 10% best dancers at a regular dancing party (where the theme is ballroom dancing, or swing) or even better. And you will meet plenty of women who would like to dance with you regularly. So people (women) will naturally "accumulate", just as a side effect of you being a good dancer and regularly going to dancing parties. At least that what happened with me, and i am definetely not the extroverted or "player" type really. Also, at most events i go to, there are usually more women than men (not everytime of course. but most of the time). Secondly, i feel like most women i dance with really find great joy in that hobby (maybe even more than I do), so it buffles me a bit, that you have not found a women yet, that "shares that passion with you", but as I said, it will definitely not take long for you to find something like that.

@@nosferatualucard2613 For context, I am 30 and I am looking for a girl in her early to mid twenties who wants to be a mom primarily. Also, my preferred ballroom coach has taken some time off and I have moved more into the West Coast Swing world. I have been told it is a much younger community. It isn't that I haven't found ladies who share this passion. It is more that the community is a bit older than I initially estimated. The college girls that frequent the socials that I have gone to are often very reserved and are hard to get to open up in conversation. All in all, regardless of the style, I am having a ton of fun meeting people in general and practicing my social dance and conversation skills. I went to my first convention style event for WCS two weekends ago and I had a ton of fun. I look forward to more events like that and I am certain that I will cross paths with girls I am looking for sometime soon.

I’ve had this issue where people tell me I’m doing too much. I’m super outdoorsy and love keeping my body in motion. Some of my hobbies include Jiu Jitsu, rock climbing, mountain biking, snowboarding, hunting and fishing. I also have a fulfilling career and side hustles that bring me happiness. When I’m not working, I’m either at the gym or spending time doing my hobbies. I don’t really do bars or nightlife so finding women that understand my lifestyle is hard. I live in a city so my lifestyle seems too active but when I’m out in my scene, I’m too much of a yuppy lol. It’s a weird spot that I’m in. I have learned to enjoy being by myself. I believe you’re only young once and your body is capable of so much. I don’t want to look back and say I wish I would’ve done this when I was young and strong. We live in a day and age where information and opportunity is all around us; Take advantage of that to learn and absorb as much as you can. I’ll save the book reading (I listen to audiobooks) and “Netflix and chill” for when I’m no longer able to move like I used to when I was 20. I don’t necessarily want a girl to enjoy the things I enjoy but understand that this is what keeps me sane and happy. Heck, maybe she can come tag along and enjoy things I enjoy doing and vice versa. Also, it probably doesn’t help that I’m 5’ 6” lol. But I check everything else I believe. And I would also say I’m a bit shallow when it comes to looks.

I get looks, but the quality of women I interact with near my age is down and I’m not interested in younger women really. I’ve been finding interested girls in their 20s, but it’s not my interest to waste time with them when I have kids that are only 8 years younger. No women near my age that I find attractive seem to be around at all or have huge flaws when I do find them. A lot of them have some kind of damage or are making as much as me and are looking for a very rich guy. Also, I’m in great shape. I’m probably just ugly like you said or not a big enough asshole. I’m not really trying either.

I've honestly never had any woman have an issue with the fact that I like to play video games, and I think it's because I like to do other things and not just that. I share several of that list of hobbies you mentioned Courtney (travelling, exercising, dancing, cooking, politics, pets, photography and sports), but I also have quite a few geeky hobbies that have been heavily criticized by people over the years, like video games, comics and anime. I never gave a damn about others opinions regarding that. At some point I launched a website to publish news and opinion pieces about those geeky hobbies also including music, cinema, literature, etc. Later a girlfriend of mine told me I was wasting my time... She's no longer my partner, obviously, and that website not only made some money, it served as a portfolio for my last two jobs, both related to the entertainment industry (organizing comic book conventions and writing for an anime streaming service). I also have a wife that shares most of my geeky hobbies. Never let anyone go after you because of your hobbies.

Few and far between but they are out there. Being married myself, it's easier to carry on a conversation with them as they know you aren't trying to date them; I've met them all through my job. I've hooked some of those ladies up with some guys I know that enjoy those same things and they've ended up married with kids and doing well. The main problem why dating is messed up is because of social media. Cause before social media, both men and women had a realistic approach towards each other. Where as today, there are some extremely good looking guys on tiktok or Instagram which is not the main problem, the main problem is that those “good looking” guys are only like 2-3% out of 100% and 90-95% women are aiming for top 2-3% men (even the unattractive ones) which is an absolute nightmare for 5/10 or below looks guys. I am current in the process of getting my pilots license and when I mention that to women that I meet they are fairly intrigued. Problem is that flying is an expensive hobby so it’s not accessible to everyone. My opinion is men should have multiple hobbies, especially those you listed in the video. Hobbies for both genders can signify the kind of person they are. A man who travels a lot, plays rugby and has a dog can signify to a woman that this man is a risk taker who’s athletic but is also family oriented. As a man, what I do find to be attractive in women is a woman who can cook, likes to read and wants to take care of herself in the form of exercise. Instagram is a good background check for men to use because it can show what most women’s hobbies are. What is most certainly unattractive for a man to see is a girl who’s interest is to be in the clubs all the time and posting thirst traps on her social media.

Find a partner who is passionate about similar things, or at least understands what it's like to be a passionate person. The end. @@ronaldgmaster5782 netflix and chilling is OK when need to wind down from active hours on the day. Making it a habit regularly everyday and on weekends are not. That makes them stand out, that makes them special among any other sports fans. Those that didn't participate and only content being spectators are no different than the lazy bums of Netflix and chill, eating and shopping. The same goes with women. Even when she is doing hard labour for living, she still can actively pursue something more leisurely hobbies like painting, community service, knitting, musical instruments, or even tailoring. That makes her stands out among her peers and added more value as a person. In short, I choose women with active hobbies because they are not lazy bums. Theatre - I don’t get as much still but I have other things going on like my Independence & trying to do music, and film, and modeling eventually. 4. Theatre Arts Of Dancing - I had learned Hairspray dance moves almost for each scene but I did learn to do normal dancing even back then my friends would ask me how did I learn to create my own style of dancing I just did still do to this day from age 12-25. 5. Cooking - I like to cook food on an oven more than making food in a microwave. 6. Outdoor Activities - I love to find new places and time photographs of the place especially when it’s in nature more or hiking trails or oceans love oceans. or if I like a place a lot then I’ll use it as a filmmaking spot or to be put in a film. 7. Politics - I will never agree w/ Politics unless if people that are in it will change if not then that’s a problem I cannot fix because if I don’t agree with it then that means I don’t have to be involved because most of it not all it but now it is bullshit in chef salad I got that from a movie don’t ask me where I found that line from what movie if anyone know then great and if not that’s okay too but I honest opinion about Politics it could be different but the issue is playing fire with fire. So what’s the point if you’re re gas lighting more of fire from another side and your adding onto t and nothing frets done it’s like trying to win a war with guns against guns it’s basically coming down to others that would kill other people because our views on Politics that’s why for my reason I don’t have any view on it because it turns people against others that’s not right it human society it’s exactly that way it’s destructive and and violent I don’t care for those things I just want for their to peace, care for one another, equal rights for everyone out there, and have it be a better place than it being the way it is now. 8. Animals- Love Animals Cats and Dogs both used to work w/ animals volunteered for 7/and a half years when I did. 9. Photography - I certainly do Photography when I feel like when I see a new place for the first time or if I see a beautiful moon, or sunset I will try to capture it by my camera and then it’s taken then I edit it and finish it, post it if I want to on my Instagram. 10. Sports - Not anymore I used to but I have damaged my feet enough times to know to not do them because their is sometimes loosing balance and re-straining my feet again or my ankles more so yeah have to be careful. 11. Like Languages and accents - I know a little bit of Spanish but I’d like to learn more. 12. Filmmaking - It’s a great one and I know can be a job. 13. Artwork - I think it should be on the list or as a job. 14. Music - Should that be on the list I do it all the time like all the time.

Good points about women not being attractive when they don't have hobbies. Their way of showing that they don't have hobbies is to state that they like vacation trips, restaurants, bars, and clubs. The best part of the video is where you stress how important it is to do the things you love and find someone who can get with that.

Just a reminder to everybody that this is not a magic trick. You gotta find a hobby that you truly love. I love cooking, music & mma. Those are my main 3 hobbies. Rarely do they ever get me women. I think having passions/hobbies is good for keeping women around, but don’t think that if you suddenly pick up a hobby women will be all over you. It seems obvious but a lot of guys are looking for an instant solution. It’s never like that.

Not many years ago I met a woman and asked her what she did in her spare time. She said that she didn't do much, mainly worked and then came home and "laid around and watched Netflix. Sometimes go to the store to buy cigarettes". I asked her if that was all she did, lay-around and watch movies and TV shows and she confirmed. I couldn't resist and said, "wow, that's really dangerous. Smoking and being sedentary, you don't have any interest in getting out and moving your body?". Never heard from her again, LOL.

As a musician, I find women are attracted to this, even if it's not your career or side hustle. Most women are into music so if you can serenade a girl with guitar, piano or whatever you might play, I think that will give you bonus points. In general, any hobby that demands time, effort and discipline will make any person more attractive. I've had experiences where women have told me nothing interests them and it's the biggest turn off, no matter how physically attractive she is. Just my thoughts on the this topic, great video!

You definitely don't have to be older to be into live theater. I think a lot of people appreciate it because they want to support local performers and artists while taking a break from screen-based entertainment. Like a concert, you're having a communal, in-person experience with a fandom while giving the actors the satisfaction of an immediate reaction to their performance. Tickets usually aren't cheap (part of the reason audiences tend to skew older), but it's an activity that covers plenty of bases. Plus, a lot of the fandom involves discussing how different actors approach a role / interpret a character. (And for a musical, memorizing the soundtrack inside and out!)

Traveling is not a hobby. Not really. Wandering around the world is not a skill. Travel is what you do for vacation or work. It's not a regular thing. And what women refer to as "traveling" is prohibitively expensive to do often. They want to travel to Acapulco or Italy, not Tennessee. The rest of list is at least legit. Exercise, dance, theatre, and cooking are all actual skills.

I’ve found that knowing more than your partner is actually a turn off. Sometimes doing more makes potential partners afraid to commit. The worst is having someone who wants to sit on the couch or be physically bound to a life of barely any exercise and make excuses for themselves about why they can’t do something when they most certainly can.

I think for me women are very attractive when having a hobby and sticking with it for long periods of time (it could be literally any hobby too). Building a skill over years of practice is super super hot. It shows intelligence on a much deeper level and also that the person values building something. There are so many women that I've dated (or even just people in general) that have hobbies but change them month to month. They never really master anything.

Totally agree. I also see no problem with having "just" one or two hobbies (besides work), which of course means that you have more time for that one (or two) hobby/ies. Of course, if people just enjoy doing multiple things (with less time on each) then thats fine too. But (as stated in the video), you should not do it, just because it makes you more attractive to the opposite sex.
@123dweaver
@123dweaver Жыл бұрын
@@nosferatualucard2613 Yeah, I agree! Multiple hobbies are ok. I just think it's more hot when they have less hobbies but more of a mastery of those hobbies. A constant switching of hobbies just shows lack of dedication to something or shows that they give up on something before it starts being worthwhile. I mean this isn't always the case but from my previous dating experience it's like I didn't see many good hobbies that went from the "difficult" stage to the more fun stage. Some hobbies just aren't fun when you first start out because you're not good at them...

I like going to cultural events like theatres, films and concerts. I used to be a reasonably good cook (haven't cooked much lately, lol). I'm knowledgeable about politics. I had a phase where I wrote about 100 poems. I've recited some of those on stage. I like watching sport, and visiting sporting events. I have travelled quite a bit in the past. This has helped me in my dating life, because my broad range of interests has resulted in me being able to propose interesting dates. I lived in dublin, Ireland for thirteen years. I spent a fair bit of time getting to know the city by going by myself to plays, movies, restaurants, sporting venues, bars (especially those with live music), concert halls, and sporting venues. As a result, when I asked women out on dates, I always had a wide range of entertainment options I could suggest for dates. This definately made women more interested in spending time with me. I also cooked some Indian food for a french woman I was seeing for about one and a half years, on, I think, our third or fourth date. I made sure it was mild enough for her liking. She ended up really appreciating it.

I agree and can stress the importance of getting with someone that shares the same principals and values. I dated a girl that thought it was ok to go out and dance and grind on other guys and claimed it was “just dancing”. I was called “insecure and controlling” of course. Also when I asked how would she feel if I did that with girls. She stayed silent but was still mad at me for calling her out. My now Fiancée shares almost all the same values as me and these situations and arguments never happen. You have to be confident enough to let the toxic ones go but also confident to give others a chance and not assume 100% of women are the same.

The sports one is also very funny because most women just roll their eyes at me and say they can't stand it when a guy watches Sports. Many even don't like to go to sporting events. I'm glad it doesn't list playing guitar because I have heard that so many women love it when a guy plays guitar. I have played for 28 years and women couldn't care less.

Although my degrees are purely academic, and I teach history, on the side I am a serious gear-head. My now-wife of 16 years said that I first caught her attention because my hands were frequently very dirty. During the time we first met I was in the middle of a major engine and transmission rebuild. However you scrub your hands they continue to look dirty for a few days, so working on my engine 3-4 days a week meant they never looked clean. She said it indicated that I was more than an academic and had been doing something interesting away from library and classroom.

You always make interesting videos and I congratulate you on your honesty, about how women perceive men physically. As this is something that a lot of men don't really understand properly. I'm 55 and divorced and took a good look at myself in the mirror after I got back in the dating game. As, I had honestly let myself go from my mid 30's after being active and playing rugby since I was young. So, i went on a mission to better myself, lost weight and started to dress better and look after myself on all levels. And everything changed for me in all aspects of my life. One thing that does happen when you age. Is, your perception of women and what you are looking for in them changes. As the girl with the killer body isn't at the top of the list anymore. As, it becomes more of an emotional & intellectual connection than ones physical appearance. Its not settling for less. Its actually the total opposite, as attractiveness is now being found on different levels. thanks for posting the video.
