Well Diane, that was a really fun haul!!! And, a belated Happy Birthday to you. I love those Granny squares, too. Now you have me on a mission because I KNOW also that HL lace goes on sale at least every other week or maybe it's every 2 weeks. That's when I get mine, too. Really enjoyed seeing all the goodies you purchased and it's even more fun when they are on sale! ❤❤❤

Love all the assorted beads, Diane. It has been a long while since I went to Hobby Lobby but you're absolutely right, they had a big selection of laces and trims that were on sale often. Curious response from the CS person. I had never seen those tiny granny squares before. Really cool. ❤

It's so nice when we can shop with our daughters. I rarely get to do that anymore; one is 1000 miles away, and one is 5 hrs away. Oh, well. But my favorite of your finds are the granny square lace and the beads. I need to go shopping - by myself, lol!

Glad you got a special shopping day with your daughter at the craft stores! How fun! My favorite was the crochet trims you showed at the end. Funny enough, my daughter and I went to Michael’s and Joann’s two weekends ago, and I got two of the same paper pads: the plaids and the ink one with the metallics. Oh, I also really loved the pad if vellum you got.

Yes, those craft stores are all on the same road, in different shopping plazas. with Sam's Club, Target, Barnes and Noble,Staples, Wal-Mart...all the usual suspects!

Your Hobby Lobby lace story is so typical of this age. How old was this person? There's a guy on KZbin who is a deputy sheriff in Pinal County, Arizona, right on the border. Among other things, like being on the SWAT team, and training other officers to become SWAT, he is a traffic cop. And when drivers give him that kind of response to simple questions, behaving as though he's asking something moronic, he'll look at their driver's license and say, "How old are you? Oh, of course. I despair of the future of our country!" It's called Fridays with Frank and I get a kick out of it. Anyway, i love your bead haul, most, I guess. I'm a sucker for beads and have purchased a lot, and my impulse was to go right to the Michael's and Hobby Lobby websites and have a shop. But I just hoard beads. i rarely use them on or in my journals. Have no clue why. Also love those granny squares. That's tempting, too. :)
