I got a vortex shaker back around Christmas as one of a few gifts to myself... I'm so happy that I did. I may have a little bit of a paint addiction with well over 100 different paints, washes, inks and tints in my collection. However that vortex shaker mixes any paint most of the time in less than 5 seconds on the bottom and top of the dropper bottle. If they very thick or separated, then to fully mix them may take a little longer maybe up to 10 or 15 seconds for each side. I simply love it. So worth the price in the shaking time saved and your arms will thank you if you had a bunch of paints you were going to use.

Nice video! I've got one of these. They work even better with the addition of a bead inside the paint pot. Not so much a painting need imo, but a nice luxury to have.

I was going to say that too. I use Army Painters stainless balls, 2 or 3 per pot seems to work best for me. Hey sorry to bother you on a old comment but since you work in a lab with this sort of equipment I'm very curious about something. Does any hobbyist need a paint shaker ? Once your paint collection is over 20 pots, absolutely (for all the reasons you mentionned). Do you need the 100 quids one recommended for medical labs ? FRACK NO ! The 20-25 one sold to tatoo artists is absolutely enough, does the same job, works as well. And both are reasonably sturdy they can last long unless you have decided on making bench press with them. Just don't be a brute squishing your pot over that rubber covered oscillating motor, neither of these models will like it. And if ever the cheapie one fails, it's only A FIFTH of thecost of the expensive one ! Love the short format, it's to the point, hope it performs well for you :)
