Hi, another fantastic build! Beautiful paint scheme, so subtle! You choose some unusual kits, but i remember building this as a kid back in the 70's, probably airfix? The Germans certainly designed and built some obscure aircraft, can you imagine flying in a canopy on the wing! Mental!

Hi, Paul... thanks for your kind comments. I do try and find something a little out of the ordinary when the opportunity arises... ;-). Yes, you're correct, it was the old Airfix kit of the Bv141 that was the only offering of this aircraft for many a long year, which was one thing, but to imagine it would be produced in 1/48 scale years later would've perhaps been something to raise many an eyebrow back in the day. I'm very impressed with the moulding of the canopy, and the transparencies in general for that matter. Beautifully clear and very well produced, in spite of the complex shape of the pieces.

Hats off to you for that canopy painting job. I can only imagine the concentration involved in masking the inside!

Hi, John... thanks very much. I'm averse to canopy masks, and cutting adhesive tape around the frames would very likely result in me losing several fingers - I have little confidence in trying that but I do acknowledge the care and skill of those who manage it. For me, it was just a lot of patience and careful hand-painting, inside and out. It was made a lot easier with interior and exterior of the crew pod being the same colour as I only needed a single coat either side of the transparency, each coat making the other look uniform and clean. The fact I was cross-eyed by the end of the process is a mere inconvenience... 😵💫🤣.

Nice job, love your paint scheme here. I built this a couple of years ago, looks like we had similar fit issues, and that transparent pod was quite daunting to think about. I think I stole a paddle blade prop from an Eduard Fw-190 kit, often generous with their options.I was very fortunate in having a P-Mask? masking set, which helped a lot, though I think it was vinyl. I would say that I left the tailplane off to ease masking for painting. Very enjoyable to build and it still gets a double take from folk not aware of B&V madness.

Hi, thank very much for your comments. I agree, this is a bit of a head-turner to the non-initiated, but it really is a 'must' for any collection. Thanks for taking time to look in - much appreciated... ;-).

What a strange looking aircraft and what a great build Paul. I really like how you shaded and varied the panels on the wings and fuselage; that's some very nifty painting. And the cockpit and canopy turned out brilliant. Nice work!!!!

Hi, Mark... yes, this is a rather unconventional design, but all the more interesting for that. Glad you like the colour scheme... ;-).

such a fascinating aircraft , pre-dating Burt Rutan ! nice job .

Thanks, Fred. Yes, I think Blohm und Voß 'rearranged the furinture' somewhat with this design. Apparently rather a good reconnaissance aircraft but allegedly a little 'too out there' for the more conventional guys running the Luftwaffe.

Hi, thank you very much for your comments. I'm pleased you like the outcome of this build. I thank you kindly for your subscription, and am pleased to respond in kind with my subscription to your channel. I have only managed a brief visit to your channel, but I like what I see - your Potez 540 is a wonderful rendition of a somewhat elderly kit embodying many of yesteryear's issues that are less prominent in today's kits, but your very evident skills overcame all of these difficulties. May your modelling work thrive and bring interest and inspiration to others... 😉👍.

Very grateful for your support, I personally learned some things watching videos of modelers, now I try to give some other approach with my way of modeling, surely there is some detail that for someone can be inspiration. Thank you very much for your comment, it is an honor that someone like you is also part of this channel. I found your channel looking for the bv 141, I have the old Airfix 1/72 that I will build soon, let's see what I can do with that old kit.... My best wishes to you.🥰🥰
