Hey Ryan, your Mac K kit isn't ruined. You'll have to paint the nubs obviously but as for the rest use the skills you learnt with your Phalanx and battle damage and weather it. Enamel washes and dry brushing will bring out the detail. Use rust, gunmetal, aluminium and chrome silver paint and it'll look amazing. As for the smaller parts I know how you can get them in without ruining the paint. If I am seeing it correctly at 15:10 there are holes in the plastic to help you align the small pieces. What you can do it put the small pieces in their hole then glue the underside of the main piece. I do it with tanks and it hasn't let me done so far. Nice shirt BTW, I won't be needing any coffee today!

I just made my first Gundam model. It was a high grade Gundam Age 2. I was so happy that i finished it but now I don't know what to do I'm waiting for my next one to come in. I can't wait!

To add the little bits and pieces to the nutcracker, you could use topcoat as glue - either decant some from a spray can or get some in a jar. This would be similar to how we would apply photoetch. Future is great for this :) White glue would work as well.

Outstanding shirts gentlemen! I've a quick question, I'm a tabletop wargamer that usually dabbles in 28mm figs and buckets of dice. I've also scale modeled using kits from companies all over the globe, Italieri, Airfix Tamyia etc etc but I've had my interest piqued by this slice of Japanese pop culture, who doesn't like giant robots!?! Anyway I'd sincerely like to know... If you could start all over, right from the beginning, say with an MG kit, which would you pick first? Cheers! Better looking shirt? The red-white-silver one Ryan had on. But that's just me. Funny thing though, the reds are pretty close to the Sazaby reds and that yellow on Syd's is the same shade as The O yellow. Speaking of BF kits that started coming out recently, I saw a red/black Exia and a female white Sazabi. The Exia was so - so but that Sazabi... Both are coming out in may or something like that. It just shouldn't be! That may be just me though.

The Build Strike is possibly the ONLY SEED related kit that'll be on my shelf. Looks even better in MG form, although the HG isn't that bad either. Now I'm just waiting for Bandai to release an MG Gundam Fenice.

As for a MG Star Build Strike, I doubt Bandai would re-re-release another Strike kit just with the Star Build Booster... but it IS Bandai we're talking about here. I think they would be better off just making it an add on for the Build Strike.

Hi guys, really love the show. I'm a newbie in gunpla and just finished my first kit ( the RG Destiny) and noticed that some of the sticker decals go over gaps and uneven surfaces that leave air bubbles under the stickers. My question is, can I use mark softer on stickers to make them properly fit onto the gaps and uneven surfaces? Thanks!

No idea about mark softer for stickers but I often very very carefully use a hobby knife to cut the sticker so it's always on a flat surface. So cut it along edges or panel lines etc. You pretty much need to do this if it's a curved surface, looks a lot better

I'm Indonesian and i just have a few of gunpla just 2 HGs, 1 SD, and 1 RG because i'm a collector of robot damashii, metal build, dx chogokin, and other tamashii nation items. But, after i watched gundam build fighter makes me want to buy more gunpla. But in indonesia, i see a lot of bootleg gunpla are sold. Thats make me hesitate. Thank you!

Yes it'd be a good first kit, it's based on the SEED MG series that are quite good. Shipping speed is listed on the HLJ site iirc.

Premium Bandai lists February, I would guess somewhere around 20th-25th based on my past experience with it.

That can be answered a million different ways, but I recommend buying the High Grade (HG) of whatever suit you like the most/think looks the coolest. HGs are typically simple and easy to build. If you like 00 or SEED you might want to consider the 1/100 kits too (not the Master Grades/MG), those are basically bigger-sized HGs. You can just go crazy and buy an MG or whatever, but if money is your concern then you can buy a couple of HGs for the price of one MG, so I think that's the best way to go.

TheJgiron Good to hear, I really like my Blue Frame, it's straightforward but looks great. If you're able to I recommend picking up a gray Gundam Marker (thin tip) to do panel lines with to really make it snazzy. You can use an eraser or even your finger to rub it out if you make a mistake so it's super easy to learn with. (You can use the black one too, but I tend to go grey on light colours and black on dark for a more "realistic" look)

For me it's MG! They have more details and amazing articulations compared to HG kits. But, it really depends on your preference. My advice: try both, :D

What suit looks interesting to you? Is it available in MG? There's your answer ;) if you still can't decide, any of the SEED MGs are good, Syd rated the Impulse one of the best MGs ever IIRC, they did an episode on MGs a few months ago. I would recommend not getting anything labelled "ver ka" straight away unless you want to dive into the world of waterslide decals head first.

Can I give you guys a suggestion? Stop looking at each other so much. You're doing a video. It's fine time to time but almost every 3secs or so you keep staring at each other. It's definitely awkward at times. Still a great channel though. XD

It's always distressing to see just how unknowledgable these guys are when it comes to building models, yet they represent a very large and prevalent hobby company. The episodes are so often disheveled and we watch them fumble around, just to be topped off with painfully mispronounced names of kits and other things. I wish that later part could just be chalked up to unusual names from fantasy worlds, but decal and alie seem to be their most difficult words to form correctly. Is minor research, practice, and organization too much to ask? For a show that's been in the running for three years, the haphazardness still reigns and the only improvement seems to be the scenery.

I greatly enjoy that you two are able to show us models that essentially fresh off the press, and even construct one or two prior to the episode (impressive, honestly), but I simply think that there is so much more room for improvement on the presentation end of things (the primary purpose of the video).

hobbylink.tv For what it's worth, I was actually thinking as this episode ended how much more comfortable you've both gotten in front of the camera. If you watch the older episodes, you're both much more awkward, whereas now your personalities come across a lot better, and ye actually seem to be enjoying making the show, haha. For a show made by two people, I really think it's something to be proud of, to be honest. Also, while the Japanese errors are indeed everywhere, and the Gundam-series knowledge can be iffy at times (Check MAHQ.net for a quick briefing on a suit before the show, maybe?), decal is definitely NOT a mispronunciation, as different places sometimes pronounce words differently. Also, the relaxed nature of the show is something I'd consider a plus, but whatever, different strokes for different folks.
