I have spent A LOT of time looking for parts. I take the clips off inside a clear bag.

I would say that clicker design has the advantage over FTB series, it wont hinder gear alignment with losen drag. But that drag star clicker is the same as Abu Garcia Pro Max 3L.

Good to know. I guess I never thought of gear alignment.

For the price, you would think the inside parts were all made of titanium! Lol, but it looks pretty standard. So what gives it the premium price point?
@HobieWanKenobi5 жыл бұрын
The spool is pretty nice and would add to the cost. Although it looks pretty similar to less expensive reels, the tolerances are pretty tight. There is no slop in the reel and the reel is overall a fine piece of machinery.

Does the drag on your Steez make noice when you pull out the line? If so what's your opinion on the sound?
@HobieWanKenobi5 жыл бұрын
It does make sound when drag is pulled out. I dont really use it for bass fishing. I like the sound for finesse fishing. Lets me know how much drag is being pulled out

Can I send you a video of the noice I'm referring to?

Kenobi can you tell me whats behind bearing in sideplate? It seems like there is metal oval plate with some material cover and gummy oring i wonder if it was fixed coz when i removed my bearing it went off
@HobieWanKenobi3 жыл бұрын
The spool shaft makes very light contact with the oval plate you mentioned. That is there to allow the spool to have control and not rattle during the cast. It also stabilizes the bearing as well.

Very nice, Thankyou. Can you buy a 2019 Alpha CT SV reel and open the inside?
@HobieWanKenobi5 жыл бұрын
I do not plan on buying an Alphas CT. I have read on the TackleTour.net forums that it is very similar to the other Alphas reels. A few minor changes to accommodate the smaller spool.

How do you think what is the maximum rig weights for this reel?
@HobieWanKenobi5 жыл бұрын
There isnt really a max weight. I would say 1oz may be doable but, I feel line capacity would be an issue. I would not buy this reel to cast heavier lures. There are more affordable options out there that would have the same heavy lure performance as this reel. I like using the Steez CT for 1/2 and below. Lures cast very well and the reel is very fun to use.
@danildanchuk63435 жыл бұрын
Hobie-Wan Kenobi Thank you very much. I fish mostly with PE braid and as far as I know stock spool may be filled with 120-140 1,5 PE line and this is more than enough. I am not looking for heavy duty reel but mostly all-in-one reel and choosing between previous steez with 7.1 gear +1012 spoil or another light weight tuning spool and 8.1 new version, because of low winding length of 6,3 gear, however I am really concerned about durability of 8.1 new version because I plan to use it with low weight lures (would be perfect if it could work starting from 2 gr. spoons) and with 25-28gr lures. And now I am in deadlock because i can't chose what reel will work better for my conditions. I have posted the same question on tackletour and we can discuss it there.

what will happen if I use it in seawater?

Bearings and other parts will corrode. Frame will too because magnesium doesn't like saltwater.

ctsv使用的几磅碳线?
@HobieWanKenobi4 ай бұрын
It depends on what size you plan to use. I used 10lb and I had plenty of line left after a long cast.
