We actually slowed down to a crawl once we were in the south end of the Erwin yard. I actually could have gotten off if I'd wanted to. I bet we were doing maybe 3mph but only for about a minute then we picked up speed and by the time we went across the road crossing we were doing around 20mph

In the shadows of the trainyard, Where dust swirls and echoes fade, Lies the memory of a hobo, Known as Shoestring the KZbin renegade. With a camera in his hand, He documented life on the trails, Sharing stories of adventure, And the joys of riding the steel rails. He captured the beauty of the open land, From the mountains to the deserts, with a steady hand. His videos were a window into a world unseen, A glimpse into the life of a wanderer, a man with a dream. So rest in peace, dear Shoestring, ride on in the sky, May your videos live on, may your spirit never die. For the hobo in you will forever remain, In the hearts of those who loved you, and in the rhythm of the train.

Greetings John! I'm here mainly because of your update video on Mark Nichols...aka...Hobo Shoestring 4/5/24. I very much appreciated your right to the point message of staying optimistic for a good outcome concerning Mark's disappearance. Approaching the 8-9 day area of Shoestring last being seen and or heard from. I will continue to send prayers, positive vibes and good thoughts for Mark's return. I shall also pray that regardless of how this ends....that Mark is ensconced in Our Lords Arms no matter whether he is still on Earth or in Heaven now. Thank you for your channel and I grabbed a seat for The Long Haul On This Ride! Salute from COW-lumbus, Ohio MOO 👋
