I hope I don't sound unsympathetic, but this segment of the trip made me laugh! You both are such great sports and if I had to travel vicariously with anyone, it would be you both! Thanks for this wonderful journey. I can't wait to see Paris!

We learnt about taking rest days the hard way! Very important to have. Days off on the road and not cycle dawn til dusk daily for weeks 🚲⚠️ thanks for watching!

I want to tour Europe someday soon-I’m going to have to pick your brain on cost and tips-😉
@hobocyclist2 жыл бұрын
Yeah man any time. You’d for sure love it. It’s my 3rd tourin Europe, and for us it’s a 24hr flight to the other side of the world 🌎 to find cycling paradise 🌴 It’s much closer to USA but still making time and all that within your life to do it is super hard. We quit all jobs etc to do this which means doing it without income and on very low budget. The longer you ride the cheaper it gets! 👍🚲⛺️😂 Edit: I always forget to say HOBOCYCLIST.com my website with all free tips for doing this!

Skipping suburbia, good call. My girlfriend is now a fan. It's such a nice break to just drop in on your trip. Andy I heard the crank clicking a while ago. It needs grease and adjustment. Hit a bike shop, they'll do it in no time.
@hobocyclist2 жыл бұрын
Oh great! Thanks for joining us!! ..I will probably never visit a bike shop for work as long as I am still rolling 😄 The bikes are still holding up well & im committed to doing this on a low, low budget!!! 🤑💎

@@hobocyclist i get the low budget part for sure. Every extra expense shortens the trip. I bet you can borrow a bottom bracket tool somewhere. Or I've used a screw driver and hammer in a pinch. It'll feel so much better to ride. No clickety clack. Enjoy Paris!

Love the channel mate! Been subbed a while and it's cool watching you grow 🙂 I have a tern link and a Carrera folder and planning tour next year in Eastern Europe with GF. How many miles average a day do you guys find comfortable?
@hobocyclist2 жыл бұрын
Thanks very much! We do average 50km a day - so pretty easy going, but the good thing about folding bikes of course you can skip hills/ hard riding areas and take train or other transport. What you don’t see in the videos is us doing all the touristy stuff, I just show the folding bike touring to inspire others to travel this way, but travelling slowly gives us the chance to stop and enjoy many things along the way!! You guys will have a blast! I’d encourage you not to push yourself too hard and make sure you both enjoy the travels and are comfortable. It’s a great way to travel with your partner - even better if they live it too!! 🚲🚲😁👍

@@hobocyclist cool to know! I wonder where and how do you keep your bikes secure when out and about? Ty
@hobocyclist2 жыл бұрын
heavy bike locks(kryptonite and similar), in fact the locks are worth 5x the cost of the bikes, but the bike is priceless when you depend on it for transport!

Indeed, Northern France is not beautiful, monotone and boring. I heard that from many people. May I recommend the Vosges mountain range is beautiful and not too steep.

You two should seriously consider investing in bicycle helmets . Part of life’s adventure is growing old without additional handicaps. The law of averages catches up with everyone . I hope for nothing but you’re safe travels . Enjoy all that this world has to offer . I have and am looking forward to you’re future adventures . Many Thanks from Tacoma Washington USA . ✌️😎

You mean the chance of getting hit by a car? Yes cars are dangerous! ⚠️ we prefer to stay clear of roads and use the great european cycle infrastructure for our big tours. In my country NZ helmets are required by law because of the dangers of road cycling alongside 🚗 we always wear cycle helmets in NZ for the reason that WE would also be fined by the police if we didn’t.. really dumb system if you ask me, simply look at the Dutch riders and stats to know that helmets are only to help cover car drivers and car insurance companies. Thanks for joining us on the trip in Europe!! We will show much more of the NZ riding experience in the future! Be safe cycling in out there in the USA 🇺🇸 😁🚲
