I am not a country music fan, but I can't help but tear up listening to this song. My parents were married for 29 years, and toward the end it got very unhealthy and my father caused my mother to suffer a lot. They split when I was 19 and it was really rough because we didn't really see it coming. My dad was dating up a storm and my mom was just working on healing herself. After a year of being single, my mom found Dave. Dave had been through the same thing in his marriage and has two daughters that are both my sister and I's age. He is a man of few words and doesn't talk about his feelings much, but one day he put this song on while my he and my mom were washing dishes after dinner, and he said "it's like they wrote this for us", and asked her to dance right there in the kitchen. That was around their four-year anniversary, and they have been together for eight-and-a-half years. Dave is now my step-father, and this song just reminds me of how grateful my family and I are to have him in our lives.

This is my husband and my wedding song. We shared a small group of friends but never hung out with them at the same time. Our friends tried to introduce us SO many times, but we always resisted. Neither of us really feeling the "setting-up" thing. We both had other horrible relationships during that time. In a great twist, we ended up meeting each other 2 years later without any help from our friends. Its been almost 9 years since we got married. Its funny how our friends knew we were right for each other. But we both agree that we met when we were supposed to.

This was the song I walked into on my wedding day and it still make me think to this day and today we have been married for four years today and I can't ask for nothing better in life. When I find myself having a hard time in life I turn this song on and it makes me think how thankful I am to be alive because I was going down the wrong road and I heard this song and it make me think of the past that I did have and I am grateful for the lovely husband I have today

It took me 28 years and a lot of mistakes to meet the love of my life. Asking my husband to be my man is the best gift ever . I developed epilepsy after our 2nd child which made life very hard. We sperated a couple of times but never gave up on the love we have for another and the life we want to live. Being epileptic is hard and not many people can handle this disability I am so blessed and thankful for my husband and our girls never giving up on me ... true love keep faith XoXo

❤ The words in this song are just so beautiful and powerful my hubby is not much of a country music fan but when he asked me to renew our wedding vows on our 25th anniversary I said yes and he said that he would pick the song for me to walk to him and to my surprise it was this song ❤ we have been married now for 32 years this year and through all our many broken roads we still make it through and I love him more today than ever and I keep praying 🙏 that we will continue together for as long as we can and I will always bless the broken road that lead me to him ❤
