I’m just now discovering the hobonichi universe and trying to decide if I should take the plunge. You literally chose every single one I was eyeing. Such a great combination! Love that Taut cover...never thought to describe a cover as sexy but seriously it really is. My order is also on hold for shipping also...I keep adding to it :( and won't release it for shipping till the manga covers come in on Oct. but now that you mention the release of some past covers I may have to wait. I love the zip style covers also but then often have to switch to another cover since they get fatter and I can't zip them up. I always order from Hobo and have never order from anyone else. They do such a wonderful job with customer service. My A5 was wrecked by water damage. I sent them picks and they sent me a new one and told me to keep the other one which i gave to my husband to try (of course now he's hooked). Beautiful haul btw!

I love your choices! I have never ordered direct from Hobonichi but I really should. This year, so far, I have ordered the A5 cousin and 2 sizes of mother pencil boards from jetpens. I still need to order my A6 and might go with the Hobonichi cover with the dark background and bird.

Awesome video, thank you! You’ve helped me decide on the Ohayo A6 for 2021 🤩 would you be able to describe the colour of the flowers? They look slightly pink to me but it’s so hard to tell from the photos.

libbytron The color of the flowers is more different between the sizes than I realized. On the A6 they’re more cream with the faintest touch of yellow/taupe, & on the A5 they’re more of a dusty silver with the faintest touch of pink/lilac. They blend into the fabric more on the A5 & have a starker contrast on the A6. Thanks for watching! 😉😉😉

That silver Taut is BEAUTIFUL!! I ordered from the Hobonichi website. I ordered an A5 and two weeks which all have a purpose but I could not resist the A6 Boy and Dog zip cover which is beautiful but no purpose lol! Would love to know what you are going to use your A6 for.

I agree with someone's comment below, very classy and adult set up! I love it. I didn't even know that that silver option was leather I must have missed that. Would you say that it is truly silver looking or does it show up as more gold? From this video it looks gold tone. Happy planning for 2021!

I've been debating getting that A5 zippered cover but I was worried about it getting dirty if I carry it back and forth from work. Seeing yours, I think I may need to make a second order. I got the "singing bird" A6 cover in my first order because I just couldn't resist the cheerful colors and the mint Weeks for the same reason.

Susan Hudak Great choices! I’ve heard of people using scotch guard on the zip covers before, not sure if I’ll try it or not. I’ve not used it on the tambourine A5 and it still looks great, but its pattern is a bit more forgiving...

I never considered the zip because mine gets so chunky. Can you show one with your full A5 avec in it? The family is beautiful together. I too ordered the Eric cover it is too cute. What’s the book behind this character? I hadn’t heard of it.

Cassandra I’ll try to remember to show a full Avec in a zip in a future video...I’ve not used mine in the past for stuffed books tho. Normally do that in a regular cover that expands greatly and use pen only books in the zip cover. The book is called Eric by Shaun Tan; super sweet story with the cutest illustrations! 😉😉😉

Do you have any more info on re-release of older covers? I don’t want to miss out!How much was shipping from Hobonichi this year? Unlike other years, there was no info on their site regarding cost of shipping. I was wondering if it was more than other years. I ended up ordering from Jetpens for that reason.
