I would love to know more about the pens you use please - I can't see any bleeding or ghosting!

There definitely is ghosting, but I think it's not so noticeable (and I don't mind it!). I write everything but my journal entries with a Uni Jetstream in 0.5, and then journalling is done in fountain pen. I tend to like Diamine inks best because they are so affordable and such lovely colours, but I also have a few Pilot Iroshizuku inks, and I recently got a Robert Oster ink and that writes very nicely in the Hobonichi Cousin 😊

I really love your channel. I have been struggling to figure out my system for 2025. I purchased the cousin but I am not sure if I want to do morning pages in it or not. I find that the cousin gets so bulky by the end and it gets harder to write in. Please let me know if you have any suggestions! xoxo

Morning pages sounds like a really nice use of the Cousin! If you are worried about it getting really chunky maybe you could have a separate notebook for ephemera/journal entries?

I bought my first ever Hobonichi cousin and weeks for 2025 and I'm so excited to use them! Been watching videos to get ideas and see how others are using them. I do have a question, you mentioned you use fountain pens, and looking at your pages, there doesn't seem to be much bleed/shadowing? I have tested about 15 pens in my books now and the shadowing/see through the other side is painful! Do you know if the paper is different??

Ohh interesting! Apparently Hobonichi have reported issues with their paper batches this year, so that could be the case for you? They did switch the type of Tomoe River Paper they were using last year! But other than that I really like Diamine inks, they are great value for money and the colours are fab 😊
