Hi Julie! Have a 3 day weekend and catching up on your videos. Bought some printables from you last year but the ring systems I wanted were all sold out at a few companies. So I decided to try the Hobonichi route and tracked down a Mega Weeks and love it but it was too small for some weeks. Last night I finally tracked down a English version of a Cousin from private vendor in Japan. I’m a stamper and scrapbooker for many decades…so stickers are new to me in planner use. But I love how you show us that you can use stamps, Tombow markers and minimal stickers and make the planner still very functional which is my goal. Got overwhelmed by other creators with the mass deco on their pages in their Hobo. Cousin, where would you write your plans?Lol😅Thank you for making Cousin videos and looking forward to using my Cousin and using your videos as a guide. Take care Julie! P.S. I need to rewatch the Daily Alaska episode to see your husband, I have been anxious that there have not been any new episodes, love the show!

Your process of learning what works for you in this planner is inspiring to me. I've wanted to go back to a Hobonichi for a couple of years and am excited to do so in 2022. I'm looking forward to following along with you and hopefully sharing some of my ideas as well. I'm already taking notes on how I want to set it up.

I reaaaaallly love your layout and color palate. I set up mine almost the same way but you’ve shown me ways I can tweak it. It took me months to realize I didn’t need to use the whole day 🥴. I now use top for class and the bottom for tracking other stuff.
@plan2create3 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much!! Yah, I didn’t use this planner much from April to August because I just couldn’t quite nail down what I wanted to do with it. Then I started tweaking it to work for me and now I love it! Sounds like we are in the same boat! Love your idea for dividing it up to suit you!

I highlight for marking off tasks too. Visually it helps me see what’s left versus what’s not better than checking it off. I use mildliner brush pens because they bleed less and fit in all my pencil bags better than tombows - and last longer too. Definitely stamping off held (where you stamp on scrap paper first then on TRP without reinking in between). But there’s also some ink pads that work better for tomoe River paper - like artnic inks and chalk inks.
@plan2create3 жыл бұрын
Yes!!! It’s easier to see the outstanding items. I haven’t had an issue with bleeding with my Tombow’s but thanks for the suggestion on the mild liner brush pens!

I’m definitely going to incorporate the Incoming list. I quickly forget what I, my son ir husband have ordered and email notices often omit this information. Very helpful. Also I didn’t catch the vendor for the sheer colored circle sticky notes in the sidebar. I couldn’t use those if you can share the vendor. Than you!
@plan2create3 жыл бұрын
Yay! Glad you liked that incoming idea. It’s helped me keep track and will come in handy the closer we get to Christmas. 😉 The circle sticky notes are from Poi and Hun. Cloth and Paper also sells similar ones!

I made those! I have a label maker and printed my own labels on clear tape, then adhered them to transparent page flags. They don't stay sticky forever.. I need to make a new one for my weekly because it gets moved the most. :)
