Haven't made my hobo order because it will be my first one and i'm super indecisive but have been considering either getting the day free a6 or the a6 blank notebook for my music planner, im a serious music student and i teach part time so in these years leading up to college apps i have to focus more and i plan to use it to see when my rehearsals/gigs/teaching days are, track my income maybe and my practice and take notes from private lessons, master classes, students etc. :)

Great video! I love your planner system as it’s so simple and easy to use. I have a very similar system too but haven’t looked into the Day Free. I’m utilizing a Stalogy and Weeks for planning at the moment and like you, I’m not much of a decorator and artist. I see so many planners with such fun stickers and drawings but IMO I need my planner to be simple so I’m not too overwhelmed. I wish I could be more fun in my planner but I’m happy with being minimalistic like you.

Yes! I love it! It is the perfect planner for me too! I don't need to plan everyday, mostly in the summer months and sometimes I need more space than the weeks have and less space than an everyday plan has! So, I like that is thinner and for sure more lightweight and I don't have the "anxiety" to fill it everyday! I wish you happy planning for the new year!😊

I just got my a5 dayfree yesterday :) I have a sneaker weeks for my personal/household/family planning and extra bullet journalling in the back. The dayfree is for my work, which deals with confidential patient related things and meetings and is only 5 days per fortnight, so this will be perfect for scheduling my meetings in the monthly then just daily notes, bullet journal style in the rest :)

Thanks for the review of this new planner. I may try it at some point in the future but for now am content with the weeks. I had been in the avec a6 since July as a (portable) planner, but recently realized I missed having written days of the weeks when looking back through my days. It’s a small detail but really can make a difference if you use your planner for reference at all. So I just left the a6 and picked back up with weeks I had started earlier this year. And plan to continue with it for 2020 🙂

Hi, Sarah! Just popped in to say that I've almost finished the MD 365. You might remember that my goal was to do a daily art piece. I've really enjoyed this project but I will not use any notebook with 365 pages: this notebook is practically round now, despite cutting off four months earlier in the year. I'm now contemplating using a huge ledger for my art projects, or using my hoard on FNs if I choose to stay small. Cheers!

That’s awesome you stuck with it!! I’m trudging through these last months in my MD as well. Mine didn’t bulk up like yours but I’m just bored with it now. Haha. FNs are a great idea-I ended up gifting most of mine since I couldn’t find a reason to use them!
@illepu5 жыл бұрын
@@sarahmartinezjournals I like a project that lasts a year, but 365 books won't lie flat after a few months. I love FNs because they have only 48 pp.I use FNs for my BuJo, notes from orgs I belong to, etc. The paper isn't designed for mixed media, but when the paper buckles, I just iron it. If paints bleeds through, I just go with it.

Hi Sarah, thank you for this video. I am considering getting this planner for 2021 in A6 size like yours. In my current A6 Stalogy I tend to fill up one page with two days. I am wondering if this Hobonichi will be sufficient for a whole year or if I should get two or an extra blank notebook. I'd appreciate it if you could share your thoughts about this, maybe give me some advice now that you've been using yours for a while now? Thank you very much!
@sarahmartinezjournals4 жыл бұрын
You will definitely need to have an extra blank notebook. Unless they change it for 2021, you’ll be about 8 pages short if you put 2 days on 1 page. I used mine for 3 months but I love the layout so much that I made a standard size version when I moved to standard. I rarely use the blank pages. I use the monthly to record appointments and the blank pages to take notes from phone calls and other reminders. I definitely didn’t need all the blank pages in the Hobonichi. I hope you enjoy yours!
