My Liberty A5 Hon also makes a crinkly sound if I press along the spine. Ugghh... oh well :P

It must have something to do with the adhesive on the fabric cover 🤔 it is a bummer, but hopefully they hold up well!

I think the spine may need to have some ‘ease’ so the book will open flat? And in re. that daily checkoff: Haha! This past year I checked off my ‘no alcohol’ days. I wasn’t the best about noting that consistently, but dry January at least helped me start that habit…

Oh yeah, that’s definitely a possibility! And that’s a smart thing to use the check off for! It’s so hard to be consistent in filling it out, but using it for a specific habit is a great idea

Is the hobonichi papers fountain pen friendly? Did you tried them?

I did try them! I wouldn’t say they’re very fountain pen friendly, unfortunately. Almost all of my pens had feathering, even my fine and extra fine bibs. The only pen I’d consider using on it is my Kaweco Sport with a fine nib because it didn’t really feather, but that could be dependent on the ink too. And all of them bleed through the papers!

does hobonichi goes on sale every year?

Yes, they do! They typically release in September for the following year and do restocks throughout the year. They also have an April start release in February every year.
