I wish someone would test the solar input on the the Allpowers R3500 or R4000. It boast 12v to 150v and a whopping 40 amps and a maximum of 2000 watts input through a single XT60 cable. As always, a very detailed review. I own many Bluettis and as anxious as I was for this size to come out, I was disappointed in their obvious decisions to make cables and new technologies more proprietary, as a way to increase optional sales via cables and add-on hubs. Sadly I will stick with smaller units from Bluetti or larger units from the competition.

I will start with saying that I love my Bluetti. However, our Bluetti AC200 Max loses an immediate 55w per hour, just having the A/C side on, due to the converter. I just took it to Alaska. I would have lost 1320w in 24 hrs, with nothing plugged in, while boondocking/dry camping. If nothing is running, it will automatically shut off in 4 hours. Thankfully, I figured out how to connect directly to my trailers 12v system. No, I couldn't use my microwave, or air conditioner. They take up so many watts, that the Bluetti would be drained in no time anyway. When we were just running the trailer, charging by the truck, while traveling, was enough to keep it full daily. When we added an external freezer/cooler (full of fish!), we had to use our Champion 2500w duel fuel generator or get campsite electric to keep it charged. I have 2 200w pv solar panels, but left them home. It turned out to be a good choice. There was not much sun, alot of rain, and too many tree's where we camped, for them to have helped.
@joeblow194211 ай бұрын
Yeah, you really want to run as much on DC as possible and only turn on the inverter as needed. Burning through 55 watts an hour with the inverter on seems like a lot but what would an equivalent stand alone inverter consume per hour?

How did you connect the bluetti into the rv DC? Did you use the BLUETTI RV Cable 12V/30A Aviation Plug to XT60 Cable &XT60 to SPC45 for AC200MAX
@diann54611 ай бұрын
I am sure there are better ways to hook up to the 12v power in a trailer, but this was low tech and worked for me. I could not find a youtube video that described my trailer situation. So this is what I did: I already owned a 30' solar cable with mc4 connectors on both ends and the Bluetti AC200 Max Rv cable set, even though I hadn't figured out how to make it work. I noted a "Zamp" solar port on the outside of my trailer. My rv dealer confrmed that the port went directly to the battery. So I purchased a PAEKQ 10AWG Solar Panel Cable connector kit, solar to Anderson, and a Solar Panel to SAE Adapter, compatible with MC4 solar connector solar extension cable. These allowed me to connect my mc4 solar cable to the "Zamp" port. Then I ran the cable around the outside of the trailer and in through the the electric cable hole. All I had to do then is take a hole saw and drill between the cord area, under the seat bench in to the area under our bunks. This is where I place our Bluetti when camping. Bluetti and bricks travel in truck. Side notes: get a 12v cord for your cpap. It will allow you to run the cpap directly from the the d/c side. The trailer is plugged directly in to the aviation port. Also buy a screen protector. I had an extra Canon LCD camera screen protector. Glad I put it on. It is currently cracked, after traveling to and from Alaska. I also learned that I didn't need to unplug all the cords every time I charged or plugged the trailer in to it. To charge, I just attached our two bricks to 25' extension cables. The cables traveled under the bench seat, with the solar cable. Pull through electric plug hole to generator. Shut off both A/c and D/c sides. It says in Bluetti literature that you shorten the battery life, by using it while charging. Generator finishes charging in less than an hour. Turn D/C on. Cables are all still attached. The only time I disconnected cables, was to take the adapter cable off to charge in the truck. Which worked great on long travel days. Hope this helps.

I wish I was educated enough in electrical that I could follow more of this. I'm operating one of these in my camper now for 2 months - seems great. I mostly only charge from my portable 350w solar. Most nights I go from full charge, down to ~65%. In the morning I setup my solar array and always fully charged certainly by 1pm - confident, so I'm not even tracking it anymore. I want to extend charging & storage capability to support my camper' and business AC and a 36 L fridge. So with my usage, I'm thinking to obtain 2x B300, as well as a portable duel fuel generator and also (overkill) interested to add the 2nd alternator. Then I thought that if I was pulling a 6x10 cargo trailer behind me, housing a small cross bike, small ham shack/workbench, then why not put it with 800-1200 watts of solar on the roof? With the correct 30 amp in & out ports to the cargo trailer I could provide Aux power to the truck camper, especially if I upgraded to the 8,000 watt expanded battery option on the 200L. Hmmm. I have a 200MAX - the 200L is appealing for the dual 100W usbc, integrated power brick (which does 1200w instead of 500w on the MAX) and the ability to charge @ 2400w vs 1400w on the MAX). What Power stations do you recommend to charge an EV (Tesla) at 115 or 240V? Thanks and keep up the great work!

Is 800W in silent mode the lowest input power you can set while AC charging? My F150 has a 400W AC inverter, so that would be a problem.
@keithpiercey9 ай бұрын
I think you can limit the amp input in the app. ie. you could set it to 3 amps and that protect your truck inverter. However some people have had issues using car/truck inverters to charge. The manual says to try grid adaptive mode if you have that issue.

I’m seeing Lithium for manufacturing dropping in value by 76% because of the dropping of car sales to the market. No one is buying because they lack charge location. And other similar issues. Are you seeing cost coming down for generators. Thanks again for your work.

We're finally seeing a correction after 3 years of inflation. Big spending is over. Prices on everything will come down as demand drops.

Can you put batteries with that as well? Does they have batteries for it? That's all I want to know. Then I might take some interest in it. But if it doesn't take any batteries , I have no interest in That thing.

As mentioned in the review, it has Bluetti battery support.

I want to connect a car battery trickle charger like the Noco Genius 1. How long would this AC200L be able to power it if the car battery starts off at full? I think it would draw 0.15A at a presumed 12V? I am a bit worried about the parasitic load as it seems you indicated that the whole power station would run out of juice in 5 days even without powering anything? i need a power station that can power the trickle charger for 4 months at a time. Thanks
@HOBOTECHАй бұрын
That will never happen from AC unless you supplement with solar. I suggest a solar trickle charger instead.

Hi Hobtech. I just purchased an AC180. I also have a DIY system. Can you do a video on a DC7909 y splitter? I want to use the dump load from my existing system, plus add a 100 watt solar panel to charge my AC180, but I'm nervous to try. Thanks in advance.

Hello Prof. does the 200l have an open ground like the max.? my 120volt tester says open ground as well as my furnace won't start because if open ground.
@HOBOTECH7 ай бұрын
The newer Bluetti models have an optional ground screw. You can ground that to your furnace box.

Got a question that hopefully you haven't had yet. I have the AC200L and I'm wanting to charge my EcoFlow Wave 2 using the the 48volt DC output on the 200L. I haven't been able to find ant info on the cable or the connector type. I was wondering If you had any insight on this.
@HOBOTECHАй бұрын
The 48v adapter box for the Bluetti outputs 12v so it's not going to help much to charge the Wave 2 -- meaning it won't charge it any faster than using the 12v car socket.
